If your PS2 can't play blue bottom disks just put a little scotch tape around the hole that is about 2 in. big. It needs to be very close to the hole. Make sure its on the label side. The reason why some PS2s can't read blue bottoms is because the thing that holds the disk in place is mis-aligned. The TAPE will cause friction and that will cause your PS2 to read the disk correctly. :)

[edit] put in explanation :D :D :D

[EDIT#2] NOTE: If you see that it can read the disk better but it still is having a hard time, put another piece of tape over the other piece of tape that you put on. If you still have problems feel free to PM me. :)

I just adjust the lasers voltage if i ever have that problem.. ;)

Well, if you do I hope you don't break your PS2

this doesn't work with the dvd based games?

I don't know. Why? Can't your PS2 read Silver bottom disks? If it can't, follow the instructions in the first post. ;)

Since you don't have this malfunction. You don't need to worry about this problem. As it is very unlikely that this will happen to you. ;)

The only time I have a problem loading up a disk, which is either a dvd movie, cd, or PS1 game, I just turn my PS2 upside down and turn it on with the disk already inside and it always loads up.:D

Instead of turning your PS2 upside down, try holding the standby (reset button) until the blue light comes on, and that should solve your problem with loading DVDs, and PS1 gams.
