Started B-spec finally, and erm well...he's faster than me around tskuba in a caterham 7 with 212bhp...he does 1'05.6xx I do 1'05.9xx. Oh my...this is degrading especially after the amount of abuse bob gets. I'm not that slow usually, truthfully. I'm a bit confused actually...wow.

On some tracks using the same set up (car and tyres) my Bobs beat me .. Oddly by .xxx too. I sit and do the track til i beat them.

I'm trying to beat him but no, can't even beat my best time at the moment...oh geez...

It must be just you and me tatfa lol. At least you eventually beat bob, I'm just not up to it now.

It's all good fun and beats racing slow AI .. Just don't improve him another class and try him on the track again or you will be pulling your hair out at his time ?

He's level 1  I'm level 23, the thing is I'm not that bad usually 5-6 seconds slower than the top 100 but bob likes beating me obviously, not used to tskuba in fairness though.

Oh ok , try him on a track you are use to but he may pull a slow time if only class 1 as they get better watch their times , sometimes they pull a real good time worth having a try at. You get the £ and xp while you try and a bit of fun doing so.

My bob's only level 1 loool. Need practice on tskuba! Is a nordschleife time of 8'34.356 any good in a stock caterham 7? Just need to know if it's me or the track.

im faster than my bob's on daytona in the X2010, and probably a few other track with various cars. high speed ring, I do 58.XX sec laps in the 905, and bob cant get below 1:00.xx to save his life.

but for the most part, hes probably a cleaner driver than me, i take lots of chances....where he doesnt...lol

I'm envious. My main B-spec driver is level 13 and he is stupidly slow. His stats are good, but he can't win a race unless his car is considerably lighter and more powerful than the competition, even on Beginner and Amateur level races. It's torture to watch him. Common phrases that can be heard while I'm doing B-spec:

"why are you braking there?"
"you could have driven a bus through the opening that driver left you!"
"get your *** back onto the track!"
"I don't know how it is even physically possible to spin that car"

And, to top it off, he's been stuck on orange down-pointing-arrow for the last 20 or so races, no matter what I do. Argh :banghead:

Sorry, had to vent there.

When you say his stats are good...what do you mean? He's a cornerer? Because that seems to be the most important issue (make sure his cornering is better than his braking).
I have a level 38 with halfway red personality and braking < cornering < accuracy. At 35 he became brilliant. It was as if he stopped taking qualudes or something. I think the drivers are all stupid until they reach 25-30+ and at 35, if they're gonna shine, they shine.
I'm trying for the SLS in the Sig comp and am at Nordic 11th - 23rd in the five tracks we race on. Every (bob) level up improves my times but I think the combo of my b spec level and bob's adds up to something. I'm at 35 so I have approx 10 days of LeMans 24hrs to reach my 40 and can probably drag 2 or 3 bobs with me up tp that level.

Ha ha, it's okay. I know you said your driver's stats are good, but I'm what about at the beginning of your driver's career? Did you notice if Braking and Cornering were fairly higher than other stats?

That's one thing I watch for at the very beginning of a driver's career...I won't even start a new driver unless he/she has a decent amount of skill in these two areas.

If you read the GT5 in game Manual it gives a brief description of "Bob's" It also states some do not obey commands , which made me laugh (the use of the word some don't PD mean "all" don't obey commands in the beginning) It is the yellow ? for those who don't know where the manual is.

Bob is plenty faster then me especially in the FGT. I'm pretty sure he has a wheel while I'm stuck with a DS3... that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

In my current game I am taking a competitive car and modding it just enough to win in Aspec. Then I give that same car to Bob in the same race. About half the time he wins with a time close to what I ran, < 2 seconds slower (best lap). The other half he need more tuning to win. It's like he can drive some cars better than others but there seems to be no pattern.
My Bob is lvl 9 right now BTW.
