Apologies if this has been posted before, but I did search (Dodge Ram Oil Change) and couldn't find it.

Took my brand new Dodge Ram to GT Auto yesterday to get the oil changed. The mechanic went under the engine as usual, but then he disappeared! And once the change was complete something hilarious happened!!!

Take your Dodge Ram to GT Auto to find out; well worth 50cr. I spent 200cr showing my wife and kids.

Does this happen with any other trucks or cars?
 
Maybe its because the Car is so big.
 
It's because it's a tall four-wheel drive. the mechanic dissappears, then re-appears at the back end and climbs out. this happens on all AWD cars, but you can see it better under the Ram because it's so tall.
 
Unfortunately, as Jim said, it happens with all AWD cars, so your search was too specific. ;)

Don't worry, I doubt you'll be in trouble for this thread. :)
 
must be changing/checking the rear diff oil level..... :P
 
It's because he doesn't know where the engine is. All his information is based off of the basic drivetrain layout given in the car descriptions/garage, etc. 4WD doesn't designate where the engine is, so he just goes from front to back.

So in a nutshell:
PD got lazy and insted of creating a differt code for each drive train they sorted it into 4 catagories:
AWD
FF
FR
MR
And then had the oil guy follow of each one...
SMART! but lazy...
 
Well,you can take it as the guy is changing your transmission and diff. oil and be very happy and satisfied :D:D:D
 
My only complaint about the procedure and graphics of the oil changes is that they really should have a fast forward option, as they do for getting your prize credits after each race. It was somewhat amusing the first time, but quickly became tedious and terribly unnecessary soon afterwards. 👎
 
I'm too lazy to exit out of the GTWC, buy a Ram, and oil change, so could anyone tell me what happens?
 
The Tech inspects the drivetrain like the driveshafts, diffs, and u-joints in the case of the RAM. Based on my experience there are more critical components to check on a 4WD.
 
And he forgets to open the hood / bonnet and remove the filler cap. Not to mention pouring in any oil.
 
On the Ford GT, I don't know if it's all of them, but I've seen him treat it like an AWD, or maybe it was FR, even though it's MR. Made a thread on it a long time ago and got flamed for making a thread on it. My only locked thread.:grumpy: Still it's an odd behavior, since the other cars are consistent with drivetrain.

You sure it wasn't just parked backwards? That is what all MR cars do.
