Hi all,

last night i was comparing 3 cars (nissan race car, toyota minolta and toyota 7 race car) to get the max PP i refreshed the oil on all cars.
when doing this for the Toyota 7 race car my pp drop from 736 to 722!?

is this an error? or does this just happen after refreshing oil a couple of times?
i also had this with a new cour the other day but jsut thought i was confused.
Is this an Error in GT5 or did i do something wrong. please let me know cause i am seriously confused about this and do not dare to change anything on cars anymore.

Not really happy about this do :scared::sick::ouch:
hate to see my hard earned credits go up in smoke.

Details:
nissan pp 728 after change still pp 728
minolta pp 729 after oil change pp 733
toyota 7 pp 736 after oil change pp 722

You probably didnt drive the toyota since the PP system was updated. You had to go and check the car manualy to update the actual PP. Maybe that's what happened.

it is just because they have modified the #'s from the original ones they had.

so your toyota was already probably below 722 PP or at it, and just SAID that it was at 736.

I drove the car after the update (or my driver did)
my problem isn't much in the power points my big problem is that also the bhp is lower than before.

i am happy that you guys state that it isn't my fault but that it is something in the GT5 itself. like the #'s being wrong or the update make the correct settings show after refreshing the oil. Still i feel robbed :grumpy: and sometimes have to cry a little about it :P

p.s. if anybody doesn't belief me on this story go refresh the oil on your cars and you will find out what i did.

Are you comparing power from dealer to GT Auto, or from garage to GT Auto?

The dealer often lies. It's been this way from the original Gran Turismo way back in 1997. Dealerships (in real-life) often tell little fibs and misquotes so they make a sale, and Gran Turismo games seem to be replicating this behavior.

So it'll say this car has "728 horsepower", at the dealership maybe but when you check stats after you buy the car in your garage, it'll often be less than this, especially if the car already had miles on it. You get the oil change, sometimes the car will now have more power than the dealer quoted, sometimes it'll be the same, sometimes it will be less.

EDIT: another possibility. I'm noticing you've said you've refreshed oil "a couple of times". It's possible you've been redlining your engines a lot? This causes overall power to drop over time, oil change or no oil change.

EDIT 2: A third possibility is that all of this is some sort of glitch.

the pp didn't drop compared to the dealer.
i already have the car for some time and used it to train my b-spec drivers
l love the toyota7 thats why i am so sad about it. so i compared pp befor in my garage and after. just love numbers

i feel it is a glitch since the new update cause i never saw this before.
andsince the update this also happend to my mazda furai but i just thought i was high but after seeing it happen for a secondtime i know for sureithappend.
i thought i the mazda had more pp than the bugattti and was listed above it and after the oil change it was below the bugatti in pp.

so cause it happend to the mazda which i never drove i feel it is a glitch in the game but don't seem to find anything about the pp and bhp lose on the internet or any forums:crazy:
