Oil Change on new

Have just noticed something weird happen.

I got a Gillet Vertigo Race Car '04 and did the oil change. BHP went up as expected to over 900 BHP but PP went down from something like 672 ish to 669.

Is this normal and can anyone please explain what's happening?
 
Often times there's a difference between the numbers displayed in your garage and the "true" numbers displayed in the car information page.

Because it makes the car harder to handle!
 
Was it a car bought long time ago, when pp was based on a different calculation basis?

They failed to mass-update the numbers displayed in the car-list-screen.

No it was actually 2 both got today - crazy coincidence but bought one second hand and then won one from ticket this morning.

Both have the same thing. Maybe the extra hp does make it more difficult to control but I'm surprised that would affect PP downwards. Haven't driven either of them yet.
 
It's because the extra power keeps the car from hooking up as well, same thing happens with a weight reduced Buick Special, still drivable with downforce, but that's their reasoning
 
Damn, in that case I need some dirty oil!

I read and heard that....Cents the oil change was available in the gt games... If u do the oil change before u drive or race the car.....! Car brake in or engine brake in happens right there on the spot...... No driving around for 50 laps... Pp goes down because the car went threw the brake in period..... If u do the same and wash the car before u drive it the car takes 2-3 times longer to become dirty. It's a something I read in some book I got for gt4 or gt3 ((can't fully remember))!!
