Why is my car getting constant power increase from time to time just because of oil change.... The same reason why I did not tune the engine because then it can't be undone / removed

My enzo's stock horsepower was 640-650

Now my enzo's stock horsepower is 670-680-690-700 (will increase more for sure)

First off it says Oil change the only reason why I oil changed is because I thought you needed it after sometime.

If I knew it was racing oil change I wouldn't do it at all
In racing games I've played oil change was basically if you needed to change your old oil but this oil change in gt5 completely ruined my car
Anyway

Is there any possible way to get the original oil back??

Or will there be any options in the future to have the original oil change

I don't know why it gives cars such a big boost, in real life, the best oils give you a slight and marginal gain in power. Not sure what is with the oil changes, same in GT4 and previous games. I would like an option to buy different oils. As I agree, in all cars, you don't want a huge increase in power (if any).

i would love to see the look on a mechanics face when you turn up the next day and say ' hey mate i dont like my oil, can you put the old stuff back in '. As for the game i dont think your in luck.

wait, is he saying that if you keep changing the oil the horsepower just keeps going up and up?
No, just on new cars. It's strange to increase power of a car with a oil change, when the car has 0 miles on it. Also it goes down on cars the more you drive, and back up when changed.

Oh man. This is really bad. I really hope the standards for how fast a car should be will not increase. That just ruins the reality part of the game.

Yes, for a limited amount of time. Not endless. My Mazda 787B was at 605, after oil change at 660, after one race later 665 ... but then goes down to 601.

I don't get this oil that totally ruined my car

Give me back my clean oil!!!!

Oil changes should only be for when it's time to change your old / overused oil

I want my original specifications not this constant power increase just because of an oil change

In real life racing oils won't even give 5 hp

It only makes it more accessible and reliable at most of the time

This is really annoying I want my oil back

The power increases in this game are beyond nutty... oil changes for +20hp, an air filter that gives you 16... yet a $30,000 turbo system gives you maybe 40? WTF were they thinking?

Changing brand new oil three times on your car will not keep improving the horsepower.

The reason the power increases in the first place is because GT Auto is using higher quality oil than the dealer.

After a bit of racing the horsepower gained will gradually fall down to the stock level and slightly below. At this point you can change the oil again and get max performance out of your car.

Clear?

I'm pretty sure it's about breaking the engine in.

My new cars always experience HP increases the first 500 kms or so.

I think it was in GT4 as well.

I also got into trouble with this: I did a rally event with the Renault Clio V6 (not a good choice by the way).

Then I saw the oil indicator was red (yes it actually shows you need an oil change :)), so I did an oil change. Went back to the event and could not use the car anymore since I now was over the power limit :ouch:.

I bought a Ford Focus RS and got through the event.
