I was playing GT3 last night and i was in the middle of one of the 10 race series in amateur...and in like the 6th race my oil light went on...and I had changed my oil just before I entered the series...

I hope that GT4 has something where you can like change your oil in the middle of a series because there really is no disadvantage to it...like cars in F1 and other racing series are allowed to work on their cars between races, let alone change the oil in the engines if they dont use new engines for the next race.

As well I think that there should be an option to wash your car in the middle of a series because your cars do get dirty and dont preform as well, which can hurt you in a series

What do you guys think about this?

I don't know if anyone has noticed before, but AI cars in GT3 always have fresh oil every race in a series. I think thats a bit of an unfair advantage, especially if you are using a car that is equal to the AI.

lol maybe the car wash was a bad idea in the middle of a series

but there should be a way to change oil in the middle of a series
 
Correct me if I am wrong but in real races, dont the cars get fully rebuilt engines for every race?
 
Yes, race cars get fully rebuilt engines for every single race, because their engines run under alot of stress.
 
Not the case any more in Formula One. They used to go through 6 engines a weekend - but new regulations have been introduced to allow the smaller teams some breathing space, rather than repeatedly paying for engines...
 
You get penalised if you go through too many engines now, and it's not a high number your allowed to go through either compared to other motorsports.

As for your car getting dirty stopping it performing as well, whats that about, did you miss-type something or what?

wtf, i didnt know washing your car in gt3 would improve preformance?!

I'm with Famine on this one. This whole thread is a load of crap. Although, I guess something could be said for the entertainment value.;)
