I was wondering if you can get a oil change in a pit

nope, never can never will...atleast in this game

damn my engine dies in the formula 1 test course race. i am using the FO90/s

Your engine should have died in the second race. Third race at the latest... LOL

That oil light comes on in the second race. So it isn't too long after that, you notice that horsepower loss..... Did you get first place on Grand Valley... by the way???

Since I live in Belgium, I have the European version and I don't think that I have ever seen the oil light come on?!?!

Even during those tedious endurance races I never get it ! I've started to wonder if it even comes on during endurance races ... When I check my oil after it, it is close to being black but still no light ...

At what milage is it supposed to appear???

Here is something that explains the oil light, mileage and such...

(Just look for my name :D )

that would explain why the light didnt come on during my super speedwayy endurance

Lol , i found the oil light today , didn't know u could only see it on the inside view...

Well, you don't lose that much power so..

It can make the difference between winning and losing. I have had a 50 Hp increase after chaning my oil. I have never lost though because of the oil ...

Horsepower is for cowboys! :p

I agree with the others about the oil light. It seems to come on around 189 miles and then you start losing horsepower. I think there's a limit to how much it'll lose, though. I re-ran the Polyphany cup not too long ago. Since that is a 20 lap series, the light came on pretty early, but after a while, the HP decrease stopped at a certain point. (If anyone doesn't know, the car's HP is at the bottom of the screen when you choose "Settings" before a race.)

In one long series while first progressing through the game, I decided to skip the Test Course race (since it's an oil-killer) and save the HP loss until later. It probably didn't make much of a difference.

But, if you think you're cutting it pretty close and the HP loss is going to cost the series, you can always get a tune-up or turbo upgrade one stage above whatever you're using and install it when you start losing HP.

yea i know about the oil light but when i am test course on the sixth or 7th lap it can only go up to 5 gears

The oil light differs for each car right? And also, shouldn't it differ according to the way u drive, i mean if you wouldnt shift at the read line shouldn't your oil last more??? And also shouldn't it differ according to how high ur car rews? I don anything about this so i am not saying anything i was just wondering if is like that.
