ok guys i just flat out suck... help me with World Championship

i won the R92CP by letting the letting the bspec drive half the time and me drive the other half.

I bought every upgrade to this car possible, put hard wheels in the front and superhard in the back. i changed the gear ratio to max speed and i just can't beat the hong kong race... is there ANY way i can get the computer to race this for me and win?

the computer keeps loosing when i let it race for me. is there some setting i can use or maybe a different car i can get to get me to beat this race? hong kong has to be my WORST track. i can beat the first few races in 1st place with no problems, but i get dead last in the next races.

is there ANY other car that can i can use to beat World Championship by B-spec or maybe have it so easy that even a noob like me can beat it?
 
Try to qualify first, the B-Spec driver has great difficulties in overtaking so you could relieve it from doing that. You could even try to remove the turbo you've fitted, the tyres would wear out slower and the car would be much more drivable. Another trick would be to find a tyre combination that lasts just over half of the race: if you have to pit, you could as well take every bit of grip you can get from the tyres. Try softer tyres, like Mediums to the front and Hards to the rear.

You don't need top speed on this track, acceleration is much more important. A car redlining in the end of the straight is much better than a car that can't use its full engine power.

About easy cars to drive, it's a personal thing but you could try the Chaparral 2J both for yourself and the B-Spec. It's a great car on twisty circuits as it doesn't need speed to have downforce thanks to the hoover system. 1.200.000 Cr at the Chaparral dealer, American hall.

Also, do a search for gtwc b-spec and you'll see some threads that may give you valuable tips. 👍

Try qualifying, and then with good driving and good pit strategy(if you need to pit, I can't quite remember) you SHOULD win. ;)
 
Just anything with Sports tyres on it... you're getting the Toyota 88C-V, right?

It's a fast car, but in the right hands the R92CP is just as fast. The 88C-V is overhyped in my opinion, many people use it to make loads of cash as it's usually the first really fast car they get their hands on. But then again, it's a car from the late eighties so the handling isn't quite as good as in the modern cars. Good handling easily beats tons of power on a technical track. There are even people who have beaten Group C cars with a tuned Suzuki GSX-R/4 so... got the clue?

No matter what you equip the B-Spec driver with, the performance will be poor. To be honest, you really should consider driving the races yourself. OK, you may lose the race because you make mistakes, but if you don't drive, will you ever learn? ;)

(And yes, I used the 88C-V myself because I didn't have any other fast car at the moment. I would do it with a modern LMP if I did it now.)

ya i theres just SOOOO much crap, and i couldn't find anyone that B-speced the whole thing.

but wow. i took the turbo off just for the Hong Kong race, WHAT an improvement!!!!! that was some good advice!
 
Hard tyres all round, pit at precisely half race distance - and not when you think you need it. That way you have two tyre wear-in phases, as opposed to two tyre wear-in phases AND a tyre wear-out phase.
 
*Ahem* Actually I was just racing that series just for fun and I used my PS Pescarolo C60, 'cause I just bought it and I'm testing it (you can buy it for like 4.5 M.), like Greycap said, you may find a better handle in the modern cars rather than the late 80's early 90's cars (Group C), and I gotta tell ya kid, it's a dream to drive, so try the Pesky and you won't be dissapointed ;)

Another thing worth trying for the GTWC Hong Kong race if you are using a 6 speed car is to tune the gears so you only need to use 5 - this helped me when I was having trouble with this race. It might help you race more smoothly as you will have to change gear less often and can hold gear for longer on the short bits rather than having to shift up and then shift down again almost straight away.

half the races i got first place in. i bet i can get all golds in this series if i used it my self... haha!

I ACOMPLISHED MY GOAL IN GT, now i can just collect cars and start having more fun with tuning and trying out new cars.

DOING THAT ENDURANCE RACE TO GET that Toyota was definitly worth doing. cuz i have no idea how long it would take me to get the money to just buy it.
 
The Formula Gran Turismo is great, i only had to pit on one race.

try that if all else fails.

The Toyota 88C-V AKA "Minolta" cannot be bought, winning it was the only way of gettin' it, now prepare for the tedious Formula GT series in the Extreme Hall, to me it was not as hard as the WTC (since I didn't have any fast cars at that time) but it's looong as hell.
And BTW, if you haven't done the 24-Hour Nurburgring endurance, then do it and win the F1 car (FGT) and try to win the WTC again but in a-spec, it won't be as hard on you AND you'll feel a lot more proud that you won it by yourself rather than BOB :yuck: , capisci? ;)

Tedious is the word. I won the first 9 races to make sure then B-Spec'd the rest (all 6th place). I have to go over these again to 100% it. OH JOY...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
