Okay last question!

Okay this is my last question for right now. You know the red number next to what gear your in. What does it mean when it flashs like i know that is the gear you are supposed to be in or something but what does the flashing mean? :cheeburga :cheeburga

its the gear you are supposed to be in. and it might be different if your tires wear out. mostly a lower number.

The number tells you what gear you are in. The red number tells you to prepair for that gear. When it flashes you have reached the point where you must slow down or you will risk hitting the wall.

There is an additional red dot next to your gear indicator that tells you if you are redlining. There is also a big dial called a TACHOMETER that tells you that you are redlining. I personally think the dot is pointless.

The red number (flashing or not) is the suggested gear for the approaching curve or turn.

Somehow this flashing number means that you are going too fast into the curve. If you properly slow down before the curve and before the light normally flashes, it will not flash. Trust me, go race a track, go flying into a turn, watch it flash. Then on the next lap, slow down and if you are in the proper gear it suggests before the curve, then if you just coast a little ways before the curve, then that light will not flash. It should go away about the time you should be apexing the curve.

Try it, trust me, that is what the flashing is for. And MOST of the time it is right. Some curves I can go faster through that others, but there is one or two that I can't make it in third gear like the flashing number says...

Anyway, don't be misguided here. And yes, it means you should be SLOWING DOWN, or BRAKING!!! Ha ha
