Old and American used car lots?

I saw a reference in a thread to a used car lot for old cars (older than what shows on lots 1 and 2). But I must be blind because I can't see it. If it exists, can someone point me to it?

Also, I see extremely few american cars i the used lots. Are used american cars somewhere else? Or are there just those few? Or perhaps they just show up rarely... I did notice that the FAQs did not have the Mustang Cobra type R, but I eventually did see it and buy it.

in the pal version the used car lots are 80's, late 90's and early 90's. in the american i believe it had historic instead of 80's (which makes sense as any pre 80's car comes up in the 80's lot). and there are naturally fewer american used cars

There are very few American cars in the used car lots. You can't find them because they aren't there.

The "Historic Showroom" (just south of GT Auto on the map) is almost exclusively '80s Japanese cars.

i think the reason there are so many japenise used cars, is because in japan, there are hardly any american cars (being what my dad told me, but he hasent been there in about ten years, so this may have changed)

These are the U.S.A. manufacturers I've found in the used car lots:

Acura (NSX)
Chevrolet (Corvette & Camaro)
Ford (Taurus SHO)

Can't think of any more right now.

The RS200 road car is a prize car. It's about as built-in-America as a Lexus, or a Ford Ka, anyhow.

There's some Acura Integras ('01?) in the Used 90's II lot.

That's true but it is tune-able in the American FORD garage/factory

I have not bought any Integra's :yuck: but I think those used one's are japanese... :dopey:

I'm pretty sure there aren't very many American cars in Japan.
There aren't any american cars in Europe either. The only ones I could think of are Chrysler made in Austria.

Too bad Ford is not planning to sale the Mustang in Europe.

We get some American cars over here, but they don't sell very well.

I swear I must be blind. I have been in every single place surrounding it, and never noticed the Historic Showroom :dunce:

THANK YOU!!!

I found the Lotus Carlton in The Early 90's last night I think it's the only European car I've seen so far and I've seen lots of them

Thanks to this thread I bought several used American cars and I've been playing the USA races.

And even though I never liked the cars made here in the US, I have fallen in love!!! That Corvette Grand Sport '96 is a beauty... what a pleasure to drive... I kept forgetting about being a race and just enjoying the driving... but it still trounced the competition with no difficulties in spite of my distractions.

:off topic: Seeing that list raises a question, was the HPA Golf R32 even in the PAL version?

Yes it is I bought it a few days ago but it's a remake of a Volkswagon Golf isn't it. And if it is why is it being tuned by an american company?

HPA are Canadian, they just mode the hell out of the Golf R32 for people for a small fee.

Hello guys/gals. New to here, but not to Internet forums in general. My wife calls me a "car freak", and I bounce around on a few automotive forums. We have a PS/2, and naturally, GT4 is the only game I have for it (previously fell addicted to GT3).

Anyway, is there documentation somewhere regarding the ROTATION of some of these cars through the used car showrooms? I'm in love with the Lancia Delta rally car, and I keep looking for the '91 Lancia Delta HF Evoluzione (or whatever it's called) street version. I can't find the durn thing! Anyone know a date range when this beauty shows up?

As an aside, I've gotta agree that the '96 Corvette Gran Sport is one of the greats. It was one of my favorites in GT3. In GT4, I love the '87 Buick Grand National and a C5 I have tricked out nicely. As far as the rally cars go, the Ford Focus was my fav. in GT3, but this Lancia in GT4 rocks. I'm a Michelin tire fan in real life, so I have a tendency to pick my favorite race cars depending on who displays the Michelin logo. :dopey:

Thanks!

It's a used (1990-1995) car. Doesn't show up that often.

Check the FAQ thread near the top of the list of topics, theres a link to a thread for the used cars and what turns up when in there.

Awesome, thanks! I searched, but didn't come up with much. I'll surf through those FAQs.

Try different FAQs from different web sites. I have not found a "used car" list that is complete. I am pretty sure the car shows up and that I bought one.

Thanks. I found somewhere that it shows up on week 67 only. I suppose that would equate to days 463-469, or that range plus any multiple of 707, since there are apparently 100 weeks in the game.

In other words, week 67 is days:
463-469 or
1170-1176 or
1877-1883 or
etc

I'm actually away from home now for the US 4th of July holiday, so I'll have to check where I'm at in the game when I get back home.

That sounds about right. But don't assume that is the only day it shows... there were several cars that showed only in one or two weeks in the lists that I checked but ended up showing up many more times during the 100 weeks.
