Now, before anyone thinks this is to do with the Diablo, then no. That's my other Thread. This is a dedication to a series that used them. It happened a long time back, though I dont exactly no when. But Kent ((Gokents at the time of the series) is one of the racers from the series, and as some of you might know, is a GTPlanet member himself, so I could ask him a few things about it. I have asked him things about the Lamborghini and he did'nt mind, so it should'nt be any different with this, but who knows. First off all, I will start by puting in the results for all 6-races:

You guys are sure into that Diablo. Wish I could get it out of my game. :( Guess I'd need a shark :banghead: which I don't have. :(

Thanks! I will be able to make it even better once Kent see's the messeage I sent him! I'm sure he'd be very happy to see this thread!
He wont be the only one happy to see this thread, because there was so many threads for this one car, and many people was involved in racing it. They even detuned it because it was so fast. :)

Yep, Like I said on the first post, this thread is about the series which raced the Diablo, rather than the actual car. The series itself seems really intresting since from what Kent told me, it's not completly the same to the Lamborghini that the NTSC-J version has.It was so fast that his mate Bob detuned it to make it slower. And If I have gussed correctly, there is so much behind this, that I should be able to make a huge thread, with the help of you guys anyway, because I might not know what I am doing . Thats because I'm new here and I dont want to bite of more than I can chew! But if I do that, then it's my own fault entireily. Still, we'll have to wait and see...:) :) :)

Not to worry, although I must admit that this would all do well being one thread rather than two seperate threads.
None the less, I'm happy to see interest in the series... Makes me wish I had GT3 still. :ouch:

Later on down the road I will try to come here and give a re-cap of the series but for now I'm not going to be able to do that (atleast at this moment).

Back later on, till then,

Hey, Parnelli, shoot me a PM or an email.

Since the thread seemed to be dying out a bit, I thought I would add this in. It was origanally typed up by Kent in my Lambo thread but I thought I would post it here since it is about the series:

In this text Kent awnsers the questions:

1. Why did the series end?
2. What was his best race?
3. Why was it his best race?
4. Did he enjoy racing in the series?

So, all I have to say now is, enjoy reading!

Well...
The series came to an end because it was original planned out by Bob to only be a short race series for a select number of members who were all into good racing. The series was open to everyone and anyone but you had to be able to get a Diablo, which kept the entries to only those of us who had a replay device and a NTSC copy of the game.

Once we had run all the events everyone was looking for a break and even though it may have been suggested we do it again, the amount of effort it took to create the races was vast. Bob did an excellent job and dedicated a great deal of time to creating good races. No one was prepared to ask, none the less demand another run of the series even though we would have all enjoyed it greatly.

As for my best race... It would have to be races 4A and 4B... Those were the only two I won.
It took some effort but I'm sure the fact that there were two races helped me take those victories. I'm willing to bet many other races had a hard time evenly splitting time for both events.
Of course, I did have some personal motivation to win but that was due to the events that eventually left me feeling a withdraw was the best course of action (what can I say, nothing motivates someone like revenge!).

In any case, it was a great series and lots of fun.
Everyone who competed enjoyed the series and it was only due to the length of each race that any of us scored a DNF.

Overall the series was one of the best I've ever had the pleasure to run.

btw, the American version of GT3 had both the Diablo race car as well as the stock 911 road car (which is an exact replica of the RGT using slightly different body panels).

Cool, thanks for the info Skid Mark 33! :) Me, Skid Mark 33 *McLaren*, Duke, Parnelli Bone, daan, and Kent are the only ones posting in the GT3 section now. :indiff:

This section dies out alot, then comes back to life every now and then.

In my point of view, there is still loads to talk about in the GT3 threads. The only thing is, people dont realise that. One question that someone could put on a thread is why was'nt the High-Speed Ring included in GT3. But please dont answer that here, it was just an idea! 💡

Well, just to recap some of the Diablo series as I can recall it...

The car was a specially tuned model.
Using code work in MK's Garage Editor, Bob built us a car that had to be imported into the garage and used somewhere between 500 and 600 hp. The car was still a beast and for the most part we, the racers, were able to pull off respectable wins (even though we were forced to pit by race rules).

Every race used the JGTC cars as competition, most races lasted between 10 and 30 laps although there was a 60 lap finale.

Consistancy was rewarded and some great racers participated.
Overall it was a great race series and I can't wait to take part in another that was as fun.
