Old "New" GT5 Video

hi guys
This is a Old "New " video of GT5 on Tokyo and Nordschleife
The reason why i want to show it is that this video was on many sites (like GTP ,youtube...)but only in low quality
This video is ~6min long and 600 mb big ,that is AWESOME (a normal hollywood movie is 80-90 min long and 600-700 mb big compaired to GT5 it is small XD)
The video is in 1280 x 720 and 60 fps
ps:dont forget that GT5 will be in Full HD + 60 FPS

(i am with PS3 online now and i dont know how to download it on PC i think you have to "right click" on a server in the Download list and than click on save or download anything like this)

(if you want to download it on PS3 than go to Download list and press "triangle" on a server,and than go to Date and click on save )

Not wanting to sound ungrateful or anything, but this is still old, regardless of quality. In the midst of all the recent videos from Mimaximax, I'm actually getting a bit bored of watching the same stuff over and over and over, just with different cars on one or two tracks.

Oh, and Hollywood movies in 720p, compressed, take up approximately the space of a DVD, not a CD!

i think mimaximax s videos are captured with a mobile phone
download it and you will see its AWESOME

Mimaximax uses a HD compact camera.

So if you mean a normal movie not in HD, why bother mentioning it? The game video is 720p, which is why I said that a compressed 720p movie is usually about the size of a DVD. Yes, a standard def movie will compress to the size of a CD, but now you are comparing apples with pears.

FWIW, I did download it - not that impressed with the quaity to be honest. It might be 720p, but it's certainly not as sharp as wathing a live 720p version of the game. Plus, as I said (and you know) it's nothing new.

Yup, and we appreciate that. The thing is, despite being 720p, it's not hugely impressive, and as I keep repeatig, old. Others may be more appreciative, but I'm now getting bored of watching other peoples replays off-screen.

The 720p option on youtube is significantly better than the 480p, it's not true hd and only recorded on a compact camera. But certainly not a phone and is still the best quality I have seen captured.

Somehow I hadnt seen this, but it is really nice to see a video at 60fps.. really shows the GT5 off.

Hopefully we'll get this quality of video from E3!

All the videos on that site are over a month. I know because I downloaded them when they were posted on this forum. I still have them.

Indeed, the video at 60 fps makes a huge difference - the impression of scale is better (the buildings in Tokyo, and the "green tunnel" on the Nürburgring). The nuances of the car's movement seem to be clearer, too. Looking good. 👍

You can find the video on Youtube but the quality isn't as great as when download the file. I believe it was taken in Tokyo at a Nissan Super GT event (why the PA was in Japanese). Still, it's probably one of the better video of GT5 although personally I prefer the Arnauld Lacombe's TT around Nordschleife for best view of the track. For the best cockpit, it's the video taken at the Mercedes Museum with the SLS although I don't care for the driving (Arcade physics and R3 tires)

You do know that Youtube doesn't do 60 fps, right?

Right-click the video (on Youtube, not the embedded copy) and select video info, ~30 fps, dropping frames left, right and centre (at 720p, anyway).

If you think 16 is epic, you should check out the rfactor. The VLN2005 mod allows for 100 cars max although personally i find the car animation, at least in the replays, to be a bit outdated (not too bad in slo-mo, though). Still, it's as close as you can get to actual endurance Nurburgring race.
