Old school car club (before 1980's cars)

Looking for racers that like to drive older cars with no aides. Not really a league just some fun races. I am posting this because I had a room set up for cats from before 198p but still had a lot of people coming in using modern cars and having to remove them after warning them 3 times to change cars lol.

The rules are simple: no aides and the max alowed tires are sports soft. All cars go as long as it was built before 1980. The pp can vary. Last time it was set up at 570 but can go up or down depending on the kind of races people want to do. It took a long time to get some good drivers but ended up with 5 players that liked the rules and had some tight races (2 of us in the faster 20mil cars and 3 in slower cars but having tight races also).

Clean racing off course, slipstream set to weak, no boost and tire wear.
 
I recommend you have a look at the VCRC. Certainly the best casual race group around in my experience.
 
Thanks. I might join they group. Wan't to wait and see if I can find some interest for this first since I'm more focused on cars from before the 80's. Is abs allowed in that club? I'd have to join to see more of the rules.

Depends on the event, sometimes abs is allowed, sometimes it isn't. I'l link you to this event as the sort of race that usually happens, but to be honest, there's a bit of everything.

To add to Tyrell's mention of the VCRC - there's talk of organising a Miura event, so that might be up your alley.

Also there are rarely any races run on anything but Comfort tyres. Basically all the races are run as Tuning Prohibited and on the stock tyres.
 
I'll join, though I'd prefer a PP limit at 500, I've used that for most of my rooms and it works out well.
 
Joining the club doesn't prohibit you from doing such races - but it opens up a new forum for you to discuss other race ideas etc etc

Thanks for adding me:tup: The pp limit can always go down depending on what the majority wants. Same goes for tyre regulations:) The reason I put it at 570 is so that players get to use some of the 20 mil cars 👍 It also depends on the tracks we use.

Had a problem with my internet connection yesterday and made this thread on my mobile phone. Connection is back up again so I will edit the first post later today or tomorrow so I can give a better explanation of the rules.
 
Hi, I'm up for joining. I used to host a 500pp classic car league and really enjoyed the racing.
