Hello all,
I've been a gamer/racer of the entire GT series since I bought my first copy back around 99/2000. Buying the newest release was always very exciting as I eargly anticipated new cars and tracks.
At one time or another I probably fashioned myself a pretty skilled and well practiced Gran Turismo'er, but admittedly haven't played in a long time. Its nice to see the new version finally has the capability to actually race with others online, not that I'll probably ever use that functionality as I'm sure you young whipper snappers can probably run circles around me.
The new driving line is an excellent feature, but like the days when I had to go to school, in the snow with no shoes, up hill both ways, we didn't have that nifty driving line to help us learn the new courses. haha.
Anyway - to answer a few questions about myself. Yes I'm an old school GT fan and loyal follower since its probably the best racing game around. I've tried others and could never find anything that quite matches up to the Gran Turismo series.
I don't use a steering wheel. I don't think I could live with my g/f thinking I'm getting any geekier considering I can host my own computer based LAN parties. I actually just took to using the, 'D', pad. I am just now getting used to using the analog stick on my game controller.
Other games I enjoy at the moment are FSX (Flight Simulator 10) and Call of Duty. (A big COD fan as well, although I've yet to purchase the new, 'Black Ops').
I'm just here to be part of a community who shares the same interests I do.
Cheers,
Brandon
