Electronic Arts came up with a little game around 1997 or 1998 called "Moto Racer." It provided arcade thrills as you raced a combination of road courses and motorcycle courses. Though I have little experience with MR1, this is why I'm covering MR2.

Moto Racer 2 featured many more tracks, many more venues, many different types of racing. And if you you don't like the ones EA provides, then guess what? You can make your own track! I don't have MR2 on my computer anymore, but I made about 8 or so tracks. They ranged from high-speed thrills in the desert to challenging Motocross events in a forest. Perhaps my best track was a high speed street course which looks like an oval, but has a difference- a very slow chicane which reminds you this is a road course and not your cookie cutter oval.

PROS: Nice selection of motorcycles; many tracks; two different types of racing; exceptional environments from country roads to dry desrts; track editor (best feature); race up to 24 or so bikes at once; two modes- arcade and simulation. Simulation means that if you ram into anything hard, you are more likely to be thrown off your bike

CONS: music is... okay; some limitations with the Track Editor

FINAL VERDICT: There is something for everyone as this game has only a few flaws from my experience. See this in a bargain bin or something, get it. It's also available for PlayStation 1. (Verdict: 8.75/10.00)
