..how we waited for eons for early GT releases going through pushback on release dates on multiple occasions. I've been out of the loop for quite some time now. How's the wait for GT7? (I cant believe we're at 7!)
GT4 got a massive delay just before release, then had the entire online mode stripped out of it to try to get it out by the end of 2004 and prevent another delay, then got delayed into the next year anyway. GT7 is nothing in comparison to it (or GT5, or especially GT4:M).
Going back to back to local retailers and asking when it will be release... and when the glory day came the hole hype thing when you got a copy!!!! The smell of disc and reading the booklet. And before all that reading review in PSM magazine! (Internet was so slow and basic)
I think GT4’s staggered launch for each region, after already having been delayed, was the most painful. This coming from someone who was waiting for the PAL release, who got to watch on as NTSC and NTCS-J players had their fun.
Dealing will all the delays of GT4, finally getting the game in hand, going home putting it in the PS2, only for it not wanting load, after dissembling the PS2 and cleaning the lens, finally the excitement of the game starting.
