ok i went to pick up my friend at his house he lives in the getto part of our town so i was a bit surprised to see none of the less an SLR Mclaren Parked in front of a 2$ burger restaurant, i was like omfg WTF. It was black with cuztom rims i think i didnt have a camera so i couldn't take pics, so anyone seen any extremely rare cars that you thought you'd only see in GT4 in real life?

In the last few weeks around my town I have seen a brand new Lambo and a brand new lotus elise. 👍
 
I have seen a Viper GTS parked next to a run-down shack in a ghetto neighborhood.....i didn't really feel like knockin on his door :scared: and getting shot

Also saw a Merc SLR. My whole time there I only saw 4 American cars. 1 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 1 Chevrolet Tahoe, 1 Cadillac Fleetwood, 1 Lincoln Towncar. One odd thing I also noted, I did not see a single pickup truck the entire time I was there.

I had a 36 hour lay over in Japan while on my way home from visiting my brother in Guam the first week of May. While there I finally saw a R34 Skyline in person, what a thing of beauty. Well maybe pick ups aren't as popular in the rest of the world as they are in the states, i mean why have a pick up if you don't really need one? It not like they are very pretty.
In Denmark you don't see a hell of a lot of them either, and when you do it's mostly either a wreck owened by a studen that couldn't afford anything decent, or it is a company car for some nature-working-kind-of-company. :)

About the Skyline I recently saw my first Skyline too. It was a yellow :crazy: R33, and a couple of days ago i saw a white R32. NICE

Heh, near my school there's this run down series of a little shacks, just like a poor mini ghetto. One day a bud of mine was walking there and parked in front of the run down shacks, was a British racing green Bentley Continental.....We looked at it for a few minutes and laughed....You have a car worth 200 grand in front of a run down shack thats not even worth 20 grand....

Actually in Europe Merc is the commen name for Mercedes. We don't have to put up with Mercury's :D
 
Some of you people make me sick with the whole "going to the ghetto getting shot" stereotype. I'm black but not from the ghetto, we make a pretty good living (not rich not well off but right under that) and I ride through "Ghetto's" in plenty of cities and see white guys hanging out with the black people. So, don't live your life in stereotypes.

But we didn't though, we were just describing bad areas of town, we didn't say anything about who lives there and what kind of things go on there. We were just talking about how out of place a really expensive car in a bad part of town is. Sorry if we offended you.
 
I figured someone might lash out when I say the word "ghetto." But that word is used so much in life today, I hoped that we are all mature enough to realize that it is not a bad word anymore.....just like "Canada", that is also a place, but the word does not mean anything derragatory (I have never had to spell that word before :dopey: ).

Can't we all just get along people! 👍

No, Everywhere except the U.S. would link Merc with Mercedes not with Mercury. A Benz makes you sound like you've been watching "Clueless" too often.
 
I saw a Lamborghini Diablo in a indian resorvation in africa lol i luaghed so damn hard, soory if i afended you in any way if ur are a native african or something but i couldn't help my self.

You're an idiot. I assume this wasn't directed at me, but no less, THIS IS FROM MEMORY and I'm sure I know as much about El Paso as you:

I've always kinda liked El Paso every time I've been there. There's just something about Texas... It is a bit of a dump though, not much money in that city, so I'm not surprised that you're excited when you see $200k cars. Here in LA though there's a $200K car that parks right near mine at my apartment, so it's not as big a deal to some.

I still just can't get past the name of this thread...
 
I live about two miles from a very upscale country club. I see Diablo's, Viper's, (real) Shelby Cobra's and Ferrari's all the time.
