There are 2 lights which are always on... the yellow, and the green one, the yellow one flashes if I remember right...

I switch all the Assisted steering and everything off, but the lights are always on...

Do I need to switch the auto transmission off or something to make sure everything else stays off?

If it's a car from your garage in Arcade Mode, or just in Sim Mode, you'll have to disabe TCM and ASM (dunno if those are the correct names, haven't played GT3 in a while) in the car setup screen - last tab, 3rd and 2nd to last options.

I think those are the names :p But, why, in the main options bit, is there options to turn some things off? I can't remember properly but I thought those things were thstuff I was on about, I will check out what you said though :) As I thought the things in the thing may of been the defaults so I didn't need to do the same thing for every car :(

Sorry if my English sucks in this post, busy watching CSI atm.

In the main options you change the options for the cars in Arcade Mode, that's all :). That means that in garage cars you can choose other options than just helps on/off.

Thanks for the help :)

Most people play with these settings off dont they? The serious players anyway? Because it helps for faster times? :)

In simulation mode, you can turn off the assists in the same menus that you use for spring rates, etc. It's in the last menu (forget what it's called) where you can set TCS and/or ASM to 0. Most everyone plays with ASM off, since it just makes you understeer. TCS at 1-3 can be helpful to reduce wheelspin, especially at launch.

I always set the ASM to 0 and for AWD cars and low powered RWD cars I set the TCS to 0 as well. For any RWD car with 600 hp or more and all FWD cars I set the TCS to 1. Thats just to keep from obliterating the tiers in the corners, which depending on the drive type, will either send you into a spin or send you plowing up the track.
