Here is a thread were we can post onboard videos. Just post the video, say the name of the driver, the car, and what track and what year it is on. And if there is a reason why the video is special, tell us why aswell. But if there is'nt a reason, don't worry. It dosn't have to be a special video, just needs to be an onboard video. I'll start...

Driver: Jual Manuel Fangio
Car: Maserati 250F
Track: Fiorano- Italy
Year: 1957
Reason it's special: Well, it's quite rare to find a video from this era I suppose!

Reason it's special: Have you seen how wet the track is. Amazing Driving!

I know 'mini mike' made a very good onboard video. I'll dig it out.

I thought this was very good:

Driver: Felipe Massa
Car: Ferrari F2007

Why has this one not been posted yet?

Senna again at Suzuka in 1989

Reason it's special: This is'nt just onboard, this is exactly what the driver see's!
Nice video you posted for us there.:sly:👍 +REP I have seen some races on the TV where they had a camera in the drivers helmet besides his head at eye-level. Judging from the video, I'd say they had the camera mounted on top of Alonso's helmet. Now I would like to see them incorporate that camera angle for some F1 races next year. :D

Only down side I could see for that video is that Alonso didn't go down the main straight at full speed. It was just out of the pits and back again in the same lap.:guilty:

Whilst we appreciate the videos you are finding, you really need to stop the double (and sometimes triple) posting, the edit button is there for a reason. 👍

There is actually a quadruple post in this thread aswell. As Bee said please edit your posts rather than make new ones.

Correct me if im wrong but didnt frentzen also do the same time?

One. Why quote yourself?

Two. That's not James Hunt.

Three. And stop double posting!

Yes, you did. You made a post and then you quoted that post.

I believe that it is Tony Jardine

Sorry for annoying you...
Ok, but I tell you I was not quoting myself. Watch the video, and you will see that the commentator does say that. So I just typed up what he said, put it in a quote box, and added  underneath it because I thought it was funny!

I know he does, but you could have edited your post and put that quote under the video instead of making a double post in which you quoted yourself.
Oh, that, sorry. What happened was that I meant to click on edit, but I must have clicked on quote by accident and not noticed it, Sorry! :guilty:

PS: Love the picture!

I dont think you were meant to laugh at it, somehow. :)

Driver: Nick Heidfeld
Car: BMW Sauber F1.06

Year: 2007
Reason it's special: F1 have not driven here in more than 4 decades!

4 Decades?

Wiki's Nurburgring Page
A second series of 3 more F1 races were held until 1976, but even higher demands by the F1 drivers and the FIA's CSI commission were too expensive or impossible to meet. So the 1976 race was deemed the last ever, even before it was held.

Linky

That would make it just over 3 decades. ;)
