I'm not concerned about younger kids reading the words (because obviously it's nothing they haven't heard before), but I am concerned about the mentality and the mindset that swearing brings with it. Whether it works or not, I think it is one more discouraging barrier against immaturity and ignorance. Anyone with real maturity can get their point across without using profanity, and that's the kind of people I want using the website.I'd prefer to be able to just swear once in a while. I'm sure most 13 year-old have heard the F word, and other fun four-letter words.
No Klos, thats 🤬 stupid.Originally posted by Klostrophobic
That's ****ing stupid. I don't want smilies in my post, unless I explicitly place them there. I'd prefer to be able to just swear once in a while. I'm sure most 13 year-old have heard the F word, and other fun four-letter words.

Try anyone under 8. I coached an 8 and under roller hockey team over the summer and some of those kids had worse mouths than most the kids my age. The worst one was a 6 year old.Originally posted by viperguy
I'd have to say that I agree with Klos. in this day and age, i'd be surprised if anyone that's 13 hadn't heard these words.

Being Australian, pretty well every other word that comes out of my mouth is a swear word

Can we use capitals, please? If ever there was a country more deserving of capitals than Australia, I'll eat my hat.Originally posted by Cobraboy
