Wow! I was doing the Touring Car race in Bonus Race number 5 and decided to ship the car off to my backup ID that I use for car storage. Instead of having all of my cars in my garage, whenever I want to keep a really cool one, I gift it to that ID. Well, that ID was at level 8, and the cool $2,000,000 was too much for me to resist, so I did the race again. I jumped from level 8 to level 17 all on the merits of that one race! I guess I know how to level up a new character from now on!

I know what you mean - I accidentally deleted my GT5 save file a week ago, and I'm back up to level 26 without doing a single A-spec race. The Seasonal Events have been a life saver.
 
Join the club, last night my save file was corrupted after I was at level 30 A-Spec. I'm now at level 22 with 4 mill credits. Only done 2 of the seasonals as well.
 
so how do these events work? how can i make all this money by starting again?
 
I'm only at level 27 in A-Spec, but I promise you that if my file gets corrupted then I'm not touching this game again.
 
I got level 32 A-Apec last night. Went to play today and I got the YLOD!

I am not a happy camper.

No backups here either :(

Hopefully the local guy can fix it for me on Monday.
