One More Race Series?

Which Series Would You Participate In?

This is the last week of ARCAT, and I'm considering running one more 4 race series right after the conclusion.

I would like to use (mostly) road cars this time, and I have a couple of ideas. I just want to be sure we'll have enough interest and that we do something everyone will enjoy. My ideas are -

1. A BMW series, using 4 road cars. I'd use the Z4, M5, the '73 2002 Turbo, and one 3 series car.


2. A series using only Honda S cars. I would use the S800 race car, the Amuse S2000 GT1, one stock S2000 and one more car, to be determined.

So I've put up a poll, let me know what you think and I'll see if I can get somethng going on this.

I unfotunately haven't time to race any series right now, Kevin. :(

But if I had I would have voted for the Honda's. :dopey: Looks like a great setup. 👍

Sorry Kevin, I won't have time to run in another series for certain, so I'll have to opt out. Going to have a lot of preparation work for SFGTP4 coming up which is going to eat up most of my October racing time, which is bad, but in a good way! :D

I'd join in for sure if

a. it'd be a beamer show
b. one of them would be the CSL
c. the tracks would be nice & wide race tracks
d. soft compounds would be great
e. gt mode would be even greater

Hopefully Kevin could use them at some touring style tracks.
I imagine the Honda's being at Japanese tracks.

Steven - I was thinking of the CSL or the GTR M-3 for the 3 series, so it's possible. Might be able to swing one GT Mode race on a wide track. 👍 But the Beamers have not won yet. ;)

Appropriate tracks are my thing, for sure.

But some of the original circuits would definitely be in the mix, since they were all but excluded from ARCAT. Probably one or two originals, one city, and one or two world circuits, depending on which cars we end up with. I have some things in mind. :sly:
 
I like the idea of Honda S Series as I'm not that good
using them. It would be a bigger challenge for me.

Anyways I'm in which ever series you start.

And, as an aside, I've always though a 50's/60's sports car series would be fun ('63 Corvette, '61 E-Type, ,'62 Elan, '54 300SL, '65 Alfa Giulia GTA, '66 Alfa Spider) - Just throwing that out there for anyone with the time to put together a series.

Thanks for the vote, and I'll put the sports car series on my radar screen for LAN or series. That's a great idea and a great group of cars you've listed out. 👍

I'm going a little crazy with the series thing right now, but I was inspired by a LAN weekend with Jake, Kenny, Chuck and George back in August, and the upcoming LAN at Nick's. Driving lots of different combos helps you get inspired for this kind of stuff and keep you in shape for the events. :)
 
Well - Making a DP here so this shows up to everyone. In the interest of time needed to prepare the races, I'll need to close the poll now. It looks like the BMW's have it, with or without my vote.

I hope some of the Honda voters will be able to show up and participate in the next series. I plan to post the first race soon, possibly today, certainly by tomorrow night. 👍
