Searched this but could not find the subject in this form:

With the upcoming and already existing databases on the net to enter your best times, I personally find it annoying to go to all the test and licences pages to find your best times. :(

I wish PD is going to include a screen where all the best times are collected, like a second status screen but then with your records!

Hope this is considered and like to hear the members opinions!

I'm not sure, but I'm going to say that this will NOT work and here's why. I think there is too much data to store for all of your races. Now, fastest ever time would be something interesting because with the Official GT3 Guide, I've beaten the top times for Midfield Raceway and Smokey Mountain, I think. The guide had their best times, and I broke them as much as I could.

The only exception would be fastest ever records. But... no.
 
Well, GT3 already stored your best times on most circuits if you chose too so I'm pretty sure they could store it all for GT4 like k2racer suggested. NFSU kept a lot of the best lap times on each track for that week, I'm sure they could expand on that.
 
I think you folks have missed the point. k2racer is hoping for a summary screen within GT4 listing all of your own best times against each course. That would be very handy, as it is a pain goign through each lesson screen on GTP to find out each and every time you set. I can't see it being that hard to do. If only PD had a suggestions e-mail.

That would actually be really useful, I hope they think enough to have a Records Hall or something.
 
Yeah, that's what he's aiming for. It's a great idea, kinda like this:
Cote 'D Azur - 1'17.329
Tokey R246 - 1'15.316
Seattle Circuit - 1'17.930 and so on......

It would save a lot of time between switching through all the courses and looking at your times...

EDIT: Tokeo, not tokey...:lol:

Indeed the word "record hall" is a great way of describing it!

i think its a great idea, and with the HDD it will be able to store all the times no worries.
 
You could extend the idea to noting all the times for each race in each championship etc?!

And maybe for each car on each course?! (Although this may be taking it a little too far!)

i think this is a great idea... it wouldn't be too much data, it's a piece of text. I hated the fact that GT3 didn't have your best times come up when you raced. I know it's for that race, but it'd be cool to have "lap record" as a field on the race display... might be cool too if the AI/iLink/online drivers could also set times (so it would be the fatest lap completed by you or anyone you've raced against). Although unless the AI is improved by 5000% they'll never set the fastest time. ;)

After reading these posts, I could use some Tokay.
 
Just a quick thought if some how perhaps in qualifying for races the game could use your lap times or record times to adjust either the strength/skill of the A.I. or put the A.I. in cars that would allow them to get closer times to what you ran. Therefore allowing the better chance of having closer races. Really hope that there is indepth records for the online competitions.
