Ever wondered about that? I think GT has always been kindof stiff. If PD can implement a more exciting feel to the racing aspect, the game would be alot better. Especially with the menu music.

GT1 had more style than all the rest of the games with the series. The menu's are boring.

Compare it to this:

Sounds more badass eh?

Compared to GT5's piano music intro.

I agree that the music in the first half of the intro kinda sucks, but makes up for it with nice images of the production of cars, and it has most definitely got style.

The second however blows the Forza intro out of the water

Sounds more bad-ass eh ?

This I will agree with. Even though Gt1's menu's were boring, it was a PS1 game so it was acceptable. Why on earth GT5 has a PS1 style menu is beyond me...

Music aside, I was bummed when the car that was being built in GTs intro was a Prius. It didn't really "set the stage" for racing.

I like the classy menu music :(

One can argue that lack of style is a style in itself...

Agreed. The second half is the bomb. Honestly that Forza intro wasn't much better than the GT5 intro. It sucked just as bad. Forza just panned the camera around the cars. Show me some some racing, get me in the racing mind set, not a car museum mind set.

You can argue about pretty much anything GT related, but arguing about it's style have to be topof nonsense I've encountered so far. And competition was severe.

What you describe is your PERSONAL dislike about music in GT series. It is SUBJECTIVE matter.

However, arguing about the sryle of the game that have probably the most visual designed interface of any game outthere combined with 189 songs produced in mind-blowing quality over 8 genres is just crazy.

You may not like jazz and downtempo music, but you can't say it lacks style. It is maybe not by your personal preference, but if GT does not have style than all other gamez are Britney during her trailortrash phase.

Menu music is one thing that for me makes GT5 more stylish than all the rest. No cheesy cheap electronic inhouse music, and no in your face annoying poprock (Looking at you Dirt 2).

GT5 menu music is very neutral, its not the type of music that you need to be "into" to enjoy, its just there doing its job. Not only that but the menu music, jazz/classical is so brilliantly performed and recorded, they are like masterpieces. A breath of fresh air compared to the music in most games.

GT5 has plenty of style.

We don't need yet another Forza vs GT thread thanks.
