Hi, well I dont understand what PD have done here. They created genius game, and spoiled it with some very bad features that limits everything.Ok, I can be patient with the fact that you cant drive just any of your favorite vehicle online, you have to buy it first, buy tyres, tune it etc., and that is very interesting to see, what users come up with in the end online, creating they're own perfect favorite cars. That idea is great. But why I have online limit of my own cars, do I realy have to quit the online lobby to select one of my cars "ON favorites" and other "OFF favorites".. seriously wtf? (I got over 200 cars now, all of them I want to drive online! Some of them duplicates with different tuning, visual and performance tuning, what will happen when I have 1000 cars?) it makes me a bit angry, and what is with tyres? why do everybody have to leave a lobby to just change they're tyres, what if I'm a host for the game? why the tyres can't just be availible online, and dont forget the important part "car's", we love cars, I love cars. Why so much limit in this game, everywhere I go there is something limited, it feels incomplete. Overall game is pure awesomeness, and pleasure to drive. I insist PD fix this issue, we dont want to leave lobby before every race! And dont say you can tune your every car before Online, that takes way too much time since there are so much cars in this game.

sample - what if we all want to have a Honda Civic race with friends, I doubt half of my friends will mark it as a Favorite. and Im 100% sure that most of them have a Civic. So they have to leave the lobby and set it to FAVORITE, while turning OFF other FAVORITE car.. :( ok they join my lobby and then, HA tyres are not right, limit is set to Sports: Soft. So again there is no option to buy them, you have to do a 15 minute procedure, quitting and entering, while everybody else online are getting mad of waiting in the end we start the race with half of people in the lobby, other half just are too busy trying to change something in GT Life section. So I hope someone from PD will understand this!

This is very easy and fast to fix - Step one: Use online all cars from my garage! Step two: Create option to buy Tyres ONLINE. This will help alot! thanks!

First and foremost I was just about to ask you how the hell you needed more than 100 cars. But when I read you had duplicate setups I decided to read on lol.

Personally, the 100 cars wont bother me for a while. I try and keep my garage as strict as cars that I like and cars I can and will use. The others are disposed off all most immediatly. But eventually I will agree that I can even see myself crossing the 100 barrier and thats not going to be a fun one. Of course, if Sony where able to come up with their own coding for a cross game chat feature then people could predict and arrange it better incase PD have an insane reason for not letting us. But how am I to stand and lecture.

As for the online purchases for in game play... .I think thats answers the question. Its an online purchase for game play, I think that would be very hard to watch as an exploit would riddle the game (and here). Unless you mean you have a sort of GT Life account and an Online accout where you have to rebuy the part one time to completly unlock it for online use. So you buy all the tires and then never have a problem of having to go back just to switch to them again.

well since we now earn money and XP for our GT life ONLINE and its all conected anyway, It shouldnt be a problem to create a one little button just after the Tyre selection, or even more simple, just make all tyres available to select, and if you select item you dont have buyed, massage appears - "are you sure you want to buy Sports: Soft tyres - cost 12,000 credits". "YES" / "NO" , so it is simple and I cant see someone exploit it, since you can earn your money online anyway.

And I was talking not just about the Fact that Favorite cars are Favorites, but what if there is FF chalange set online, well in my Favorites list there are small amout of FF cars. So again I have to LEAVE lobby for this reason, and then again search for it? Anyway I dont see any problem just seting the limit to 1000 cars and thats it. Someone will have 10 cars, someone else 500. There is NO point in this ridiculous limit. :)

EDIT: PS. sometimes we end up driving cars we don't like much. So the races could be interesting driving in same, or similar conditions.

I think a huge problem throughout the game is a severe lack of shortcuts between different places/screens.

Like trying to prep a car for the new special events. You have to go into the special events section, select the event, highlight the track, get the cursor onto the restrictions button, take note of the exact model car, tyres, weight, and power, go back, back, back, into the dealership, find the car (hopefully you remembered the exact version and year in the case of multiple variants in some dealerships), wait half an hour for all the prompts and confirmations and loadings and animations, go to the tuning shop, HOPEFULLY YOU REMEMBERED THE WEIGHT AND POWER restrictions, find and buy the stuff you need, back, back go back into the special events, locate the event again, confirm you meet the restrictions... FFFUUUUU, you forgot the tyres!!

Anyway, you get the point :P.

The game would be made entirely more enjoyable by a button you could press which opens a menu to go to your garage, GT auto, tuning shop, etc, from whichever screen you're in, then when you leave that section you return to the menu from whence you came... *pipe dream*

I guess PD included the "favourite" concept in order to make car selection simpler as there would be too many otherwise. However I think PD should scrap it making the car selection based on more selection criteria insetad such as:

- Custom "folders" so that one could organize its cars according to his own criteria
- Car classes (GT300, GT500, Group B Rally car, WRC Rally car, Touring Car, LMP1, LMP2, GTPRO, GTAM, etc) because Normal/Race Car/Rally Car are excessively broad subdivisions, especially for race-spec cars, which may vary greatly in performance.
- A category for unmodified cars (except tires)

The last two things would also be great as race restriction options.
I can't understand why PD seems to be unable to implement straight away the most obvious things, however.

100 Favorites are fine for me, but it'd be nice if you could access your garage while in a lobby. Then you don't have to leave to add another car to your favorites.

About the tyres though, I disagree. If you didn't actually buy them for your car, why should you be able to use them online? Just buy some better tyres right away when you buy or receive a new car if you think this is a problem online.

Then in similar logic, would should you have unlimited supply of tires if you only pay once??? Lets buy them every single time!!!

The problem is this feature creates obstacles online, There are 9 tyre types and although only 7 are really frequently used, there are many occasion when A has sports medium and B has sports soft, and that's 2-3 second a lap difference, and someone has to back out and buy the tire, a very clumbersome process with the current menu system. If you are to buy all 7 tyres for all your cars, it is very very very costly, it could be more costly than the car itself.

If you can drive "recommended" cars you didn't pay for online, you damn well should be able to use tires you didn't pay for online.

We really need some way to save more than one tune for a given car. GT4 had 3 slots GT5P had this ability as well. We need at least this in a big way if not the ability to save the tunes to a file and recall as needed.

The 100 favorites is not to bad but it would also be nice to be able to open the garage and see the full listing of cars then favorites would just be a quick way to get to your favorite cars. Also if we had the ability to save tunes we would not need as many dupes in the favorite list.

As to the tires if you are driving your own car then you should use your own tires. I have no problem with this and I always buy tires for the cars I am going to race. 5 laps around Indy will pay for a good assortment of tires so it is no big deal.

Or before patch 1.05, you bought the tires, then start the race straight away only to notice your car is still on Comfort Soft, having to quit the race and redo all the loadings just to select the tires again... FFFFUUUUUUUU

I think the biggest problem is we dont have multiply save slots for our diferent tunes.

Its another point where the full GT 5 game is infirior to the Prologue, as Prologue had 3 slots for each car.

Don't see the problem with the tyres. You just buy a full set of them and then you are fully equipped for any senario.

the 100 car favourite limit annoys me alright though as I have over 200 cars now nearly 90% of them I would think as favourites once I have them the way I want them in terms of modding and tuning.

The limit to only one tune really pisses me off though!!!
Its seriously frustrating if you have a car that you love and want it as a drift car but also a decent track car... unless you write all the setups down which isn't very practical and time consuming to change them every time you end up needing two of the same car.

Same goes for Rally cars, I would like a tune for dirt/snow, tar-mac and a tune for messing about drifting ala Ken-block Gymkhana style.

Don't see why you can't have 3 different saves of tune when we've had it since GT4.

It would certainly be nice if we could create labels in our garages and sort and filter the garage based on those labels. Use labels like jgtc, dtm, group-c, lemans prototype, fwd, rwd, mr, awd and so forth. Then just sort all cars in out garage based on those criteria. If possible allow the labels also to overlap (like jgtc AND sub 510bhp) and also be able to select multiple labels (jgtc plus dtm).

Some of these labels should be made my pd so the online host could just select a lable and allow people to check their garages for appropriate cars. And put premium and standard cars in one garage!

As for tires I rally see no point why we should buy all 9+2 tire sets for online. It is just cumbersome. The whole tire issue online is easy to solve anyways. Just force everyone to use the best tire available. That way people won't accidentally choose wrong tire or do not notice that better tire was made available by the host.

Also we want to encourage people to play online. Needing to buy tons of expensive upgrades (soft race tires aren't cheap) for each car you may want to drive online defenately does not make the online experience any more accessible or user friendly.

Don't see the problem with the tyres. You just buy a full set of them and then you are fully equipped for any senario.

A full set of tires for a car (already ignoring the comforts that nobody really uses) costs 93600 cr, I have around 120 car Favorited so I need.....11 232 000cr. about the same as the F1 2007.

So if you kindly pay me that sum AND give me back that 4 hours in the menus selecting every single car, going back and forth the tuning shop and clicking every single one of the 960 "do you want to equip it now" prompt, I will do as you says.

I agree with this, just having access to favorites is stupid, just say you had 1000 cars you should have access to all of them online, but also have a favorites list of 150 cars so that way if you want find a favorited car to use you will only have to search though 150 cars rather than 1000 ;)

One thing I'd like to be able to do too is to "share a car". Let me explain.

You buy a car and add some bits to it. Like in the rx7/tsukuba seasonal event. Then you buy and tune another one. Say a supra with 400bhp. And a skyline with 400hp too. Then you'd want to race those 3 cars online? So that everyone in the race had to use on of those 3 cars.

How about an option to share your own cars in your own online lobby? So you could make those 3 cars available to be used in the session by everyone. Instead of choosing cars from the arcade car list you could also pick cars from your own garage.

The way I see it it would richen the online experience as people could just pick a car and start driving. Not many people have different cars ready for different power and weight limits. Plus it would be far easier to balance the cars. You can't really balance a group of cars just by weight and power.

Bring back Quicktune v2.0 and PP v2.0 - and fix this mess once and for all!

I dont think PP system is coming at least not anytime soon.

But some of the points raised in this thread are good ones. It is annoying that you cant select from your garage, i also want to use more than 100 cars online. Buying tyres or anything for that matter from the lobby would be also very useful.

Also i dont know if im alone in this but MORE filtering options when selecting a game, not just track, srf and region... Sometimes i dont care what track i just want low powered cars or ultra light cars etc and browsing 100 games only to find none with such criteria is a waste of time.

These would be very easy to implement and if they want it to be simple just friggin hide it under a ADVANCED PRO GAMER ONLY button or something...

The freezing of different online situations (watching a race finish, shuffle races) is another matter that may not be as easy but hopefully they'll fix that too.

OK, I am a car collector (currently over 500 cars including some duplicates where I have fitted unremovable upgrades and working towards 1000 and if there is a 1000 limit on the garage I will be hugely unimpressed). Needless to say the online thing is somewhat frustrating with the limited number of favourites. Even now if I buy a new car I have to decide what I can remove to make a space for it, assuming I want it in my favourites. At least in the Arcade side I can use 50 of my 850 or so PSP GT cars which does give a slightly better selection though you have to avoid putting cars into favourites that are not already in the Arcade or PSP selections. At least the PSP garage cars are now part of my save so I don't need to reload them if I need to make a change.

A little time saver tip:
Go to tuning menu with any car. Go to race softs and purchase and fit. Now purchase again, they will go to your items folder. Keep doing this with all the tuning bits, filling up your items.
Now when you want to tune a car, change into it and use the items folder. It is much quicker. Very handy if you want to leave an online room and put race tyres or a turbo on.

thanks for the tip, but that dosnt help it in any way at all. So far as I remember KAZ sayed, the online lobby will be updated time after time so it will make our GT fans life more easy and GT more enjoyable..

Thanks all of you for the replies, we have here alot of great ideas, hope PD will look into this and change, improve online lobby in next monthly update. 👍

No idea, why the hell you need over 100 cars online. Everytime, I go online, I already know with what I want to spend the time.

I have alot of friends! and we want to drive not to win but for pleasure, not with the fastest cars, but with similar, so its fair for everyone.. simple as that! with that small amount its not possible to not leave lobby after every 3 races online.

PS. read all posts to understand!

Good for you but try to use your imagination... Alot of people like to collect cars and drive alot of them, have a selection of cars similar to their opponents, to fit the limits of the race or sometimes simply whip out rare or weird cars for fun.

In gt5 you spend too much time in the menu's and very little time for racing.
Try to buy a car you like and go to the online lobbies. i bet you wont find a room to race in without going back to gt life and adjusting things.

When you scroll down the open lobbies, how many useful rooms do you find?

thats the first step, the second step is to find a room for your car class and weight. its a disaster.
