After posting how excited I am about this, I feel like I am the only one.

No BS about damage, no BS about number of cars, no BS about number of tracks!

Online Championships discussion only, please.
p.s.- I am sure this will be on page 2 in a few minutes.

edit- I realise this was listed under GT mode, but... let there be hope.
 
If the Punto HGT Abarth makes a comeback I'm going to try and arrange a one make series on our forum :D

So about that damage...:sly:

No your not the only one, you will be glad to hear. I think its one of those features that people don't realise the potential until they have it. GTP will no doubt love this feature, it will save event runners a fair bit of time, rather than getting a big excel spreadsheet, and trying to run a championship one race at a time.

It's something that ultimately a forum could run itself, but when GT arrives we will be glad we have it anyway.
 
I am very interested to see how this all pans out. And how customizable it will be to the comish.
 
Online championships is a huge plus. If I can play the entire game without seeing the AI, it will open an entirely new world of racing and might actually make progressing through the low cash/slow car period fun (though starting will all cars unlocked and infinite money would be better).
 
What I was surprised by the most was that there are going to be lobbies!
Although I wonder what they'll do with the penalties during online races.
In GT5P I don't think it's very accurate, as sometimes I get hit by another car and I get penalized!

Anyways, the lobby sounds great, as well as private lobbies. I think I will have lots of races with my cousin, and we may as well bet some money on it. :)

PS: are those online championships confirmed?

Can we hook Pay Pal up to GT5?!?! LOL My life would be ruined if we could, even if I made money I wouldnt have time to spend it, lol.

Come to think of it.. Imagine perhaps in the future PD will implement a betting system. Kind of like betting on horses but instead you bet on your car.

Very unlikely, I know, but let me have this fantasy lol.
 
Wouldn't count on that for a videogame...
 
I love the fact we now have Private rooms and Online Championships. Now we can actually have a respectable leagues run properly and no punters sneaking in rooms. WRC championships anyone? :D

I was going to post the same exact thing. But, then I read the rest of his statement where he said, "spectate". ;)
 
Yeah that and private rooms. :drool: It will be awesome for a community like GTP to have our own championships and races.
 
I have always had dreams of racing WRC one week, then going to Deep Forrest in some bad arse race cars, then going to to another track in Street cars... and this variety goes on for a specified number of weeks and there be a "Champion" at the end.
 
I am completely stoked for online championships. It will be even better if it is directly tied into the GT mode so that any wins in the championship add to our standings and credits in GT mode. Then you wouldn't have to face off against any AI at all if you don't want to.
