Online connect between ps3 and pc possible?

Hello,

got a noob question as I normally play GT5 on ps3 and I don't have any idea about the online capabilities of NFS.

I'd like to find a racing game that can be played online cross-platform i.e.
that I can install on my ps3 and some friends who only have a pc can
run in the pc-version on their machines so that we can do online racing.

Is any version of NFS able to connect between ps3-players and pc-gamers?

Would be cool but I don't think it's possible at the moment.

It is possible but it's not easy and nobody is doing it... yet!
The upcoming Portal 2 game will feature cross-platform play between PC, Mac and PS3:

The PlayStation 3 version of Valve's upcoming first-person puzzler Portal 2 features cross-platform play and chat with the Steam PC and Mac versions.

Of course don't expect Need for Speed or any other driving game to support a feature like that any time soon but it's technically possible. Although I think it would be much harder to implement in a driving game with computationally intensive simulation code...
