A good way to keep the online mode not boring, they could every week or month or something ad a "new cup" in the online mode. Here is an example:
This week lets say it's "Economic Cup", "Fuel Cup", "Eco Cup", they can call it a catchy name or so. This cup could be about racing without pit stop, it could be 15-20-25 laps (depends on track), this would make the drivers race in a strategic way, they could race in teams, take advantage of the slipstream, team up and help each other, it could be with formula 1 cars, le mans cars, whatever.
Next week they could come with another idea, endurance, drag racing (a speciel track for that), normal racing and so one. The meaning with this idea is that these races should give more money than normal and therefor whenever there is these cups, people are more motivated to go online and not only that but when they add new ideas to the online racing mode it gathers many people to race in these cups online, it does not get boring in the long run.
