Online issues

My question is everyone having more connection issues lately?

Tonight seemed worse than normal. :yuck:

We had people being ejected, races starting for only a few, some intermittent lag, people being denied access.

I truly enjoy playing online with my normal group of friends. :)

It seems just when you get a good flow going in the room it stops working correctly.
 
I think I noticed that too. It got worse a few days ago.
 
Online racing was horrible this last night and this morning. Not sure what's going on.
 
I think there is something wrong with PSN\SEN network becouse my fr list loads ages and that freezes GT5 too...

Sometimes it does take the network excessive time to retrieve account informations and make up profiles of users enlisted in the friends' list, having almost all other people being ejected from a normal lobby usually on operation without trouble, there's a possibility of the restoration of tips being in a lag.
 
I was getting this the other night too. First I froze and couldn't even access the XMB so I had to turn the PS3 off. Then 4 of us got disconnected in a minute. The thing is when I froze, people could still here me on the mics. I was racing with a crang08, Alex3074 and christara321 and I think they froze too. If the people I just mentioned are reading this, were you having the same problems as me?
 
Something similar happened to me last night. Screen froze between races, but the voice chat still came through. Couldn't even quit the game with the remote, had to power down with the switch.
 
It sounds as though there were many having the same issues.

Does Sony admit problems and are they working to resolve??

I'm not sure if its Sony that has the problems, when I play any other game the on-line works well. GT on the other hand has its share of issues.

I do find however, that only some people (not all) have on-line issues and the those who do, usually fix the problem by either clearing their cache or resetting their modem (usually works for me).

I have a few "on-line" buddies that constantly have issues that stem from bad connection or congestion. This isn't the case for everyone but is for some.
 
Every one I know has issues with GT5 online.

Cache cleared, direct wired connection. So many people have their voodoo solutions.

Seems like a server issue to me and yes Gt5 is the game that suffers but the only game I play so to me the only one that matters.
 
It's been lagging a lot here lately, to the point were the game freezes when exiting the room but I won't leave and can still talk to everyone. I've cleared the cache and that helped a little,but not to much. I haven't really played it lately because of the lag... So I hope they get it fixed soon... Heck they should clear their cache lol
 
All I can say is get used to it. GT5 has issues and always will. Some things about GT5 change but online issues remain the same. Just hope when GT6 comes out they figure out how to fix there never ending online problems. Don't get me wrong I like GT5 have played all of the GT games since GT1 came out in 1998. Just wish there were no online issues like other online games I play.
