"Online Now!" indicator.

Just wondering if there's plans of the Online Now indicator ever coming back? It was very handy and something I've gotten used to from almost all forums I frequent out there from iRacing, other official game forums, to the old version of GTP. You can click on a person's avatar and it'll tell you their last activity, but this isn't a reliable way of knowing if they're active. The person might've already logged out even if his last activity is shown to have been 4 minutes ago.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a text indicator (like it was in the past), several forums have these "pips", green-colored when people are online and gray when they go offline. This could be a good option if the streamlining / overall look of the forums is the concern. Additionally, they can be implemented in the mini profile that pops up once you click someone's avatar and not on all posts (though the latter would be the most convenient I recon). Just a suggestion.

Will it be brought back just for the main menu or all sub forums and topics as well?

I liked loved it when I could see how many users were in a topic.
 
Coxis is referring to the online indicator for individual users, not the list of all users who may be browsing a section of the site. I would like for that to return some day but I can't comment on when/if it will return.
