ive been wondering the past couple of days :odd:, wen it comes to online racing how are you gonna pause the game because if its live im sure you'd be pausing the game for the other online gamers that your racing with ? because if ya paused the game, all the other gamers would see is a frozen car and betime u come back u would be in 6th :-s
 
Duh, you pause it and everyone has to wait untill you've taken a piss.
 
umm i wanna say its a dumb post but i dont wanna say it because i dont wanna sound mean but oh wel its an OK question i guess but if you pause everyone pauses just like every other game lol... but anywho if you paused on me during a race id be pissed cuz i dont wanna be going around a corner then you pause and when you come back i smash into a wall or something... so no funny buisness you hear NONE..... :lol: ....
 
Actually it would be like need for speeds online play most likely, you pause the game and a menu pops up but the game doesnt stop, every one else races as they wish, if you pause while online you probably will lose and i think thats fair for every one because they wont want to wait for someone whos paused there game. What if the person who pauses somehow forgets he's playing? Then all hell breaks lose over the internet :p
 
I would think there would be no pause option whatsoever.
 
If someone paused the game and everyone else's paused, they could just keep it paused for like an hour, and make everyone quit, so that they win. I like the no pause option.:)
 
Actually yeah no pause option sounds good that way people can't quit if there losing...hate people doing that :mad:
 
No pause would be best.
 
so i guess when we need to go for a piss we'll have to park on the side of the track :lol:
 
Finnish the race unless you can't hold it then pull over or somthing.
 
Didn't you listen when your parents use to say "OK WHO EVER NEEDS TO GO TO THE TOILET GO NOW BEFORE WE LEAVE" :p
 
yea the pause feature would suck fo online play, people could keep pressing it and make the otha racers screw up.......

In SOCOM and SOCOM II, if you pause the game, the game goes on.

You've never played an racing game online before have you, no online games do that, if you pause then a menu comes up and every else carrys on leaving you uncontrolled until you unpause.
 
well i think ive only played a couple of onlines games in my time, 1 of them being diablo2, wen i paused on that the game carried on but i just didnt know if it would be the same for all other games but now i do know im sorted :lol: :cool:
 
I didn't mean you, you asked a question about somthing you wern't sure of, Rport03 pretty much said this was a dumb question then gave you the wrong answer.
 
It will probably be just like in PGR2. When you hit pause in an online game, the rest keep racing, but you're the only one that stops, so that it doesn't interfere with others, even if you're the host...
 
Do real drivers pause races to pee? It's a driving simulator. Get hose and a can, wusses.
 
there prob be an option like to send you to the pits, or you join the spectators, so if you pause, you pretty much withdraw from the race. thats how live for speed has it, a hardcore online racing sim.

BTW i think it should be like live 4 speed
 
I'm all for no pausing. You should be able to hold it for the few minutes the race lasts.
 
i once posted a bug report in liveforspeed forum, like, "when online the pause button doesnt work!"

but it was a joke... :)

i dont think the pause option should be enabled with online racing, because thats one way for the idiots that cant drive to get an advantage over us:mad:
