Hy guys, this is my first topic.

I have been playing GRID for PS3 and the online behavior of some player just piss me off. Some guys make barricades so you crash and totaled your car.

I did not buy NFS SHIFT because the online rewards you for been "agressive" in the online, which means HITING people and screwing their races.

1- Will GT5 have some punishment system for jerk like that? Any kinda of kick vote in the lobby?

2- What about ghost mode for those who drives wrong way?

3- And mainly...WILL THE CPU BE PUNISHED for THEIR mistakes on the single palyer mode (in GT5P iis ridiculous?

Thanks...

You should know NFS:S rewards people for clean driving also, and it sums up all your points. Eventually it seperates clean drivers from aggresive drivers..

I'm guessing the penalty system will be, pretty much the same as GT5 Prologue. We know more in a week or so!!

Well I played GT5P with a bad connection (300kbps) and it was bad...sometimes people hit on your and when you tried to give them the pay back their cars just tuns into ghost mode...

you might want to keep that last bit about payback to yourself before people flame you for it. GTP members pride themselves on clean racing

Hopefully a little harsher..... Some players still cut certain corners and aren't given a penalty. :irked:

I don't think there should be any penalties at all if they have private lobbies. I just hope they don't use the system from GT5P because it is horrible! Not only that but the ghosting of the cars are also very confusing. Leave it up to people to kick out the bad drivers and there should be a rating on PSN IDs to show the good players from the bad ones.

I just don't like penalties because they're never implemented correctly and almost always makes the experiences worse. It's like Forza with their time penalties for going off course. You're already off course so your time isn't going to be good but to add on the penalty time is just rediculous. That doesn't happen in real life. lol

For collisions I'd like to see damage as the penalty with the game working out (better than in gt5p) who was responsible and inflicting more damage to them.

I think it should go like this, if you intentionally ram another car off ( if cutting corners forced pit stop & car is taken off you if done again ) then you should be black flagged & you lose money, your car & get banned until you have completed all licence tests again. If that happens again you get black flagged, lose the car you raced in, complete the tests, deduct more money & another extra car is removed from your personal garage. If the lunatic does it a 3rd time, and doesn't have many cars then they are removed & start from the beginning with original amount of currency.

Short cut happens sometimes in real life races and I think it should be allowed in GT5 as well to a certain extent. I think the game should step in if a person is going completely off track for more than 2 seconds trying to cut through the grass/sand. On wide sweeping turns with a lot of run off space aka short cut space, they should implement some kind of method to slow the person down. The sand traps should be very sticky or slippery, however you want to call it, and if someone tries to cut though, their cars would slow down greatly.

I really don't like the collision penalties, though. I'm drafting someone, about to sling shot past them and the guy swerves over to block me, I accidentally tap his rear end and I get a penalty? No. That is unacceptable.

-bump-

The penalty system is beautiful, by far the best I've seen in gaming. It only has one problem: The default option needs to be ON! The 'weak' setting would be fine.
