i remember reading somewhere about how it was hard for someone to adjust to the online physics after playing single player. is there a difference in physics between online and single player?
thank you for all responses :)

The difference is so marginal now that it's hardly worth mentioning.

I don't know. There are certainly some cars, such as my RX-7 TC (which is essentially always on the limit of its tyres' grip) where the difference is noticeable, and it definitely throws me off when I switch from single-player to online. I'm not even entirely sure where the problem lies, but it just feels off.

In my opinion, no. As Urie said, it's marginal.

Used to be quite a big difference. After a few patches it's very very close to the same now like others have said.
How there was ever a difference between the two amazes me.

You can roll a car over in singleplayer, but you can only go on 2 wheels in multiplayer. Even then, other people can not see your car when it's going on 2 wheels.

ok thanks i was worried about it being dramatic. :) thanks for the responses

I personally feel that online the tyres are never "warmed up" like they are in single player. But that might just be the way I drive I'm not sure

Even after the physics update that closed the gap between them, my G25 certainly feels slightly different offline vs online. I only tend to race online now.

It's probably due to room quality or connection quality. I only really see a difference in laggy/shoddy quality rooms.

Well i must say that on the Spa circuit i am around 1,5 seconds slower online then offline with teh same car and same setup.
