Online Problem, suggestions appreciated

Hey guys, I've recently run into a problem where if i go online, no rooms load for me to join. Not only that but when i try to join a friends lobby, the connection times out.

This problem happened out of nowhere as up until about a week ago everything worked with no problem. My ps3 is connected to my wireless router via ethernet cable and the online feature for every other game that i have has no problems. I have a cisco WRT400N router.

I have connected my ps3 directly to my cable modem and everything seems to be fine which leads me to believe there is some issue that i need to fix with my router. If anyone has any suggestions to help me resolve this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance !
 
Try turning off any other wifi devices around your ps3 which may sap the wifi , this happened to me and I turned all else off and the problem went away . Good luck ;)
 
Recently had a problem where I couldn't sign in to PSN. had seams sort of effects. My dad fixed it, it had something to do with conflicting IP addresses.

my sign in to psn is fine and the internet and everything else works fine as well, i can also access seasonal events without a problem
 
Well you know it's in your router settings. Either open the correct ports manually, use UPnP, or put the PS3 in a DMZ.
