We just ran with this weird problem yesterday night. Not a big deal, but if PD is reading, this might get fixed...
When doing a Race with Qualifying and that you have Boost enabled (ours was set to weak), at the start of the qualification, the last guy of the pack can slow down and let everybody go for 25 seconds and then can start his qualification. Boost will help him catch the first car in the pack and thus, super great lap time.
Also, you're good for only 1 good time lap, forget trying to improve on your second lap, it's over for everybody, even the guy that beat everybody by 5 seconds...
