There's nothing particularly exciting about this race. But the car, the track, the night to day transition, all in harmony, is something I just find breathtaking. Having 'classic' sports car racing online is something I've been waiting for and I'm very excited that it's finally possible. This was just a test, unplanned, after a few kart races.

Being able to drive this car from cockpit view with a G27, using the H-pattern shifter, without assists is about as wonderful as it gets. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Watching it again makes all the bugs and game play issues with GT5 seem insignificant.

* problems shifting with the G27, in particular downshifting, had me switching back and forth between the h-pattern and paddles here or there.

GT5 definitely has its moments, I have a few videos like this myself, I share them at work, then people ask me if this is really a game. :-)

Without a doubt, Nordschliefe and Le Mans have to be the most well done tracks in GT5, and that car is a real work of art, can't wait until I can afford it.

Also hoping to get some clean online racing sometime myself. :-) great show.
 
Thanks for the compliments, guys. I'll certainly be re-doing this race at some point in January, with a full lobby and hopefully extended out to maybe 20 laps with a slower time change cycle.
