Hmm, when i chose the car, I got into the Screen and All i see were the Top 20 people... how can I do the time trial myself?
 
i suppose you found the online event menu. there are 14events altogether. the first 4 events starting at the top are race events against other drivers. the next eight events are time trials with certain conditions for car/tyre/course/simulation mode/etc (clock icon). after selecting and pressing "X" once you get 3 buttons to choose from. the one in the middle shows you the current ranking of the time trial event, the button on the right means "enter time trial".

if you want to do a time trial with conditions chosen by yourself choose a car, go to arcade mode, choose your favorite track. then do your car settings and in the next screen (after another short loading period) DON#T choose the very left button (chequered flag icon) but chose the clock icon right next to it.
 
pro fujii race is pain
it cant handle too many cars
bug and lag fest.lots of crash
and most drivers have no race line
