online race hosting with mod cars and tracks

If I host a race and specify cars and/or tracks that have been downloaded from racedepartment.com will other drivers need to own these cars or tracks too? I'm not even sure if AC will let me use these cars or tracks for online racing.

Yes you can use mod cars/tracks for online racing. Anyone who joins your server will need any mod content that is being used in the server, otherwise they will not be able to join.

Happy to help. That's typically how most games handle it, the assets need to be on everyone's computer and since mods aren't included in the native game files they have to be added by each user.
