Hi there!
Usually I have been able to race with my friends in the same online race (talking over the phone) clicking the start icon at the same time. You guys do the same here using chat or using the game clock time. Generally it works with some exceptions but it works.
This past weekend I decided to invite my friends over; we had 3 race sets (3 PS3, 3 TVs, 3 wheels etc). In theory the synchronization to race in the same track/race would not be an issue because we were in the same place and we could see each other
We werent able to race in the same race/track the 3 of us at the same time! Only 2 and the third one was always in a different race batch. We were using a router, so we knew we were sharing the same internet IP address.
Does the server limit the competitors that have the same IP address to 2 max for the same race batch?
We tried different configurations, wireless, wired, opened a different UDP port for each PS3, even we tried a PAL game and 2 NTSC games but nothing worked. We always had 2 in the same race and the third in a different race batch.
Any comments, hints, network configuration will be appreciated.
