Online Race Schedules using Forum Preferences Timezone?

I see in the profile preferences the setting for local timezone. Would it be possible to use this info when scheduling online events? Maybe in the thread tools? Just use your local timezone to schedule an event and everyone who has their timezone setup correctly would see the correct time automativally!
