Online race setup w/only X1 or...?

How can I setup an online race to allow only the X1 or some other car out of my garage?

My daughter was racing with a friend of hers', she could only select from [apparently] a random list of cars. Has PD screwed up again with something simple?

I think there was an option that allowed you to pick an individual car to set as Car Restriction when you arrive into your lobby, most likely both premium and standard cars. I don't think there was an option for it when setting up basic parameters and restrictions as soon as click Create Room.
 
If you set the game to 'from garage' (which it appears is what your daughter did) it will only let you pick from the list of reccomended cars that PD lets everyone use online.

You cannot set the regulations to use a car from your own garage unless it is a Ferrari F1 or a Go Kart (which cannot be driven with different types of car).
