Online racing bug... wrong race results!

This has happened twice to me now.

Both times it was online at Nurburgring Nordscelife.

I was battling hard swapping positions for lead.


Race #1 with bug. Approx 3 weeks ago. 6 or 7 ppl in race.

Me and leader were following each other closely. Within 0.5seconds.

As we cross the line. I was in front. However the race result showed me in 2nd place. I couldn't figure it out at that time why.. I saved the replay and when i watched it, it showed me clearly crossing the line ahead with the car behind me right on my rear bumper.

Race #2 with bug. Happened again today. Only 2 people in race.

Again, me and my friend was racing very closely. We were within 0.5sec of each other and we were side x side on Nurburgring straight. I couldn't get past my friend and i was again right on his bumper across the finish line.

However, this time I was shown as winning the race, even though clearly on my screen, I was behind his car.

My race time: 7:18.792
His race time: 7:18.307
with timing difference showns as -0.395 (yes negative)

When i asked my friend if I was ahead on his screen, and he said I was actually ahead of him when I crossed the finish line, even though his results timing showed the exact same timing.

That means that our screens are showing 2 seperate things as we were racing!

Anyone has experienced this before???
 
I was in a break in room at SSX and I lost the draft and I was way behind the leaders. Three people were ahead of me and I was in 4th. When all three of them finished the race, it showed that I won. When I went to race results afterwards, it showed I was 99.99.999 seconds ahead of all three of them. lol
Obviously a glitch but it rarely happens, I doubt that both your screens showed seperate results.
 
Had it happen to me three times at Monza where photo finish victories (within a foot or so) were given to the wrong person, and there was no visible lag in any of them.
 
Me and a mate battling around Nordwand short, I finsished half a second behind him but it put me in first. It completely acknowledged that I was 0.5 behind him, but it still put me in first...
 
I have seen this many times, its a very common problem.
i have saved several replays that i have finished in 2nd, 3nd even 4th place and in reaults table i was shown as first.
 
So would everyone go with the results on the table, despite the "visual" evidence?
 
I've had it happen to me, and seen it happen to others a number of times.

The funniest one which I still have on replay, is me "winning" while in second place, following the leader all the way back at the first of the Porsche curvers on Circuit De La Sarthe, which is a good 2km before the finish line.
 
This has happened to me a lot. On a few tracks. My buddy will be .100-4 seconds ahead and it will give me the win. Makes an awesome statement. "I win so hard the game gives me a win" hahahaha
 
Once I had a race at Nordschleife where I did lead with some margin and got the victory screen (my avatar at the bottom right) before making it around the last corner. I don't remember if I could steer to the finish line or if it was on autopilot already. It felt very strange though...
 
I see this bug several times a week. It's important to check the times after a race if you think the results are incorrect. The true winners will show the negative (-) symbol in front of their names. The big payout and points goes to the false first place winner though but it's still nice to know who truly won.
 
Iv not had it happen ever before until today. During a few races some players didn't appear to join a race, never appeared during the race or the player list or final results but were clearly in the race from the comments section.
Very weird. I won each race anyway (According to my results)

Another problem iv had more than once since latest update.
The race countdown timer stays on my screen throughout the whole race with something like 17sec TO RACE START. Then it will crash the game when the race stops.

Oh the countless times I've seen this. Mostly in karting lobbies with my friends. The most ridiculous finish I've seen was someone in a 12 person race who was in 12th winning by about -30 seconds. :lol:
