Some stupid newbie questions ahead. Just raced online for the first time and have questions. Thanks to anybody who can help.
1. I was able to go to the garage to change cars but I could not change anything else like the transmission or breaking. Did I just miss something or does the room creator disable that or something?
2. I did a Nascar race that lasted over 35 laps. Is there any way to know when to pit? I found out too late when I spun out because I had no grip left on my tires.
3. I was in a room that said 700 HP or less and I could of sworn there were a few cars with more HP. Is it restricted or does it go on the honor system.
4. What's with the cars just wandering the track??

1. Normally you can tune your car just the same way as if your're doing offline. Just click on the wrench-button. A reason for not beeing able to do so might have been, that the choice of cars was limited to the predefined ones.
2. Watch out for the tyre-wear indicator on the left side of your screen (the 4 ones that turn from bue to red, when spinning) the bars will decrease during race. Once you have less than half of the tyres left you might think about pitting - or to adjust your driving style. Above there is a fuel indicator beeing also worth looking at
3. The lobby name might not represent the current regulations. They might have been changed during gameplay. But if you click on the most right icon (kind of dashboard) you will see the restriction beeing currently effective.
1. When you went to the garage was it your garage or had the host set it to recommended. You cant tune cars off the recommended list.
2. Look at your tyre wear indicator. When the little tyre symbols are nearly empty your tyres are about to go 'over the cliff' and stop working. They get progressivley worse as you drive.
3. If the cars were restricted by the host in the settings then you will not be allowed on track with a car over the set limit. If its just the name of the room then they could have been driving anything, sometimes people will use the power restrictor to down tune a car in order for it to fit the restrictions. In this case a car that has 900hp could be bought down to 700hp for example. You can also remove tuning parts to decrease hp.
4. This is free run, people can just drive aimlessly around setting lap times or maybe drag racing. If you had a good host he would boot people who messed about unless it was a social room.
1. Maybe the host gave some Cars to choose from. This doesn´t allow you do change Suspension etc.
If not two buttons right from the "Garage-Button" is the Setup change Button (just to make sure you klicked there).
If both things are incorrect => I have no clue
2. There isn´t a Guidline when to change Tires. You could use the Laptimes as "Timer". If the Lap times drop down by 3seconds or so it would be ok to change Tires.
And another thing would be your feeling with the car. If you feel safe => no change needed
But if you think man this is on the edge => immediately enter the pits
3. Power limiter is the Answer. You can turn down the HP by 50% but the Torque stays the same (TT-Seasonals are full of those 395hp 908FAP´s -_-)
4. That wandering is maybe lagging (you or the others have a bad connection). If a Trackchange is made look at the names. Under the names there is a "moving-Bar". When it stops the Person is ready if not...
