I've noticed this maybe 3 or 4 times prior to the latest occurrence, and until this last time wasn't certain if it was true. It looks like when you achieve a record time and upload a replay, then subsequently beat that time (perhaps only by a slim margin?), your record is updated online, but no new replay is uploaded. And somehow, that previous replay is updated with your new time. Sounds ridiculous, right? I thought so too, after noticing there was no usual 'lag' where it uploads the replay after breaking a previous record on multiple occasions, then viewing the replay and swearing it looked like the old lap.
But today I beat my time with the Ford GT on Eiger (pro physics), let the replay upload, and viewed it. I tagged the dirt noticeably on the last long stretch before the end, which slowed me down a little as I had to ease off the throttle, so I had another go and beat that time by about 0.010 clean. It hit the 'updating rankings' window, and it just sped right through without the usual upload lag, as I'd seen before. Sure enough, when I checked the leaderboards, the time was updated, the replay was updated with the new time, but it was the precisely the same lap as before, no new data besides the time was uploaded.
Anyone else seen this?
