i love this game, playing online and having some good clean races. but it seems i can have four or five and then everything will freeze and i have to restart the system, which is muchly frustrating. does anybody else ever have this problem or know how to fix it? i've been hosting shuffle races and it doesn't usually happen with other games so i'm sure it's not my ps3... or is this just the norm? i've only started playing online recently after pretty much completing the game.
 
Try disabling user background music and clearing the network cache before going online.
 
Does the music still play?

If so, just sign out of PSN; don't waste all of your time restarting your console. I get stuck transitioning from the Seasonal Event menus all the time. Just sign out of PSN and then sign back in.
 
yes the music keeps playing. sometimes it stops then starts again. it freezes when loading the tracks or going into free drive before a race and then i can't do anything or exit. or sometimes just before the race start. very annoying. it's a shame that such a good game has such shoddy online menus when the racing is so good.
