Hey Guys and Girls.

So I see many online types ....... um online and a few I don't understand I hope people could elaborate on how you do it..

"Cops and Robbers" What the hell? Like do you follow and try and get away from the "police" or do you have to chase them down from a distance? Are these done in free run or online 3 lap race.

"Drags" Do they just use the mic or "chat" box to say 1, 2, 3, go? I have an idea this is done in free run cause doesn't seem practicable to do it in a "race"

If someone could explain it to me in an intelligent manner on how it is done.

Cheers

Cops is complicated. I don't enjoy it at all.

Drag racing is really fun though. People will do drags usually on the Mulsanne, Top Gear Runway, or Indianapolis. How that works is everyone lines up at one end, and the host or leader will go into chat and type "45" or some other number, and when you reach 45seconds on the room timer, you go, and then whoever reaches the other end first wins. 👍 then repeat

Cop rooms are a waste of time. If someone want to play Cops then they should just play Need for Speed. An open world makes a lot more sense than a closed circuit.

Here's the basics:

1. Get in your chosen car
2. Race around the track
3. Drive into any Pace Cop cars that try to 'pull you over'.
4. Do this repeatedly
5. Get kicked and P yourself laughing
6. Join another lobby
7. See step 1

:)

Another way to tell when to go is when a car that doesn't participate in the drag race turns around to face the drag cars and "ghosts". To "ghost" means you simply hit the start button while standing.

There are many other types of online activities. You can do PP races on different tracks, you can race shuffle (game picks a car for you equal in performance to the ones it picks for the other participants), you can do NASCAR races on the ovals or on the road courses, Ferrari F1 races and so on.
Then you can decide whether you want to run clean or dirty. Both types have their advantages and disadvantages.

Oh, and there are free run lobbies and "break in" lobbies as well.

"Break in" lobbies are another complete waste of time especially when the host doesn't label the room accordingly. I avoid all of these senseless lobbies but occasionally these lobbies aren't labels as such.

I've joined a few mislabeled rooms where I hear someone telling me not finish the race because they are trying to break-in there car. You try telling them that they are still breaking-in there car simply because there driving it but they don't want to hear it.

I don't know what the point is of these rooms if you're never planning on racing. I usually just host my own lobbies but I don't always feel like being the host.

You'll find in my sig below, the definitive guide to searching for an online lobby, if you want to avoid stuff like this:)

I've been saying this for some time now. I wish draggers would use the Free Run lobbies. Stop cluttering up our track race lobbies with the dragging. Draggers never need to enter race mode, so just use Free Run, please.

OR, there is an other way to, they line up at one end, and someone "parks" in front of them.
Then, the one in front of the others hits the start button, so that his car becomes a ghost, and tjen let's go!!!
This will include your reaction time in the drag race.

I don't see how they are a "complete waste of time", I break in many cars in online lobbies because I'm tired of turning 75 laps around Daytona SSW or 10 around Route X for every car on my own. If there's a guy hosting who knows what he's doing then that should be alright.

The one's I just don't see the point of is rooms marked as "Drift" when the circuit is either Route X or SSR7! Sure, you could account for some being from room inhertance, but the sheer number of them boggles the mind sometimes - what exactly are you drifting around on circuits that are predominantly straight!?

That's true.
