Coming out of rest mode with my ps4, gtsport starts without having to start it from the beginning, brilliant.
Gtsport also states it's currently online, brilliant. Open a menu to anything and it's still online, click to next thing and the next. Message appears "you can't do that whilst offline" "argh!". Click all the way back through to the main menu and click online. Every time. Any possible chance of a short cut to on offline status or sort out the issue?
 
The PS4 takes a few seconds before connecting to the internet after booting from suspend mode.

I haven't tried this myself, but after you turned on the PS4, and before logging in, wait 10 to 20 seconds. After GT Sport starts, wait 10 to 20 seconds so it connects to the servers.
 
Many times after waking the PS4 from rest mode, I get a restricted NAT message when clicking the online lobby button. Solution is to check the internet connection status via XMB/Settings menu and if it shows NAT type as Failed, simply running the internet connection test makes it all better again.
 
Mine started doing that after an update. It won't reconnect without me doing it manually.
