I'm so annoyed that I registered and made this my first post.

German Touring Car Championship (Extreme).

I need a car for this race. Are the only cars available to run it located in the used car dealership?

Or do you buy a stock German car and mod the hell out of it, including the racing modification?

I can't answer my own question because some cars are unable to be race-modded, and I don't want to waste my money if the car I pick doesn't qualify.

I did search before posting this, and just got posts about what cars people used to beat the race.

Also- is there a list somewhere of stock cars that are able to be race modded?

Welcome to GTP, UglyCarFan.

Unless I missed one/some from this thread, the only German vehicle that can be race modified is the Golf IV GTI '01.

That said, the Astra Team Phoenix Touring Car '00 and the Calibra Touring Car '94 can both be found (occasionally) in the UCD.

Or if your feeling adventurous, you could use the Marketplace and trade for one. :)

The list of RM cars can be found here.

The DTM race are races held in Germany, not races for German cars. As noted above, the Lexus Car in the new car dealership is eligible and is the cheapest option. Otherwise, you need a DTM car from the ucd but they cost over 1 million. You should check in the event for the list of eligible cars.

You missed it, a few weeks ago the Online UCD had like 8 eligible cars. I broke the bank and bought 4 of them. That said they should be all over at the marketplace by now.

You can buy a Lexus for 750k credits that is eligible in the race.

^^👍 That car's a beast, too. Tune it up, and you get 715hp out of it. Absolutely murders the DTM cars, even if you're not tuning it to 715hp!

So true and it's your best bet. I wouldn't waste the cash on the others.

^^Obviously they haven't used the Mercedes CLK Touring Car '00. It is the supreme master of Nordschleife GTCC.

What is this madness? PD would never allow a German car to be the fastest in the German Touring Car Championship! :dopey:

tuned or not, i agree the DTM lexus is a beast and a great value for the money, but ...
imho it comes with a far less refined set up :
even though it's a little more powerful, it's far more tail-happy than any other DTM car ( try the DTM Astra and the M3, they are "on rails" !! )

Fully tuned the Lexus can't hang with the Mercedes at 625 hp, the Audi R8 is 725, but the Merc gives my best time at GTCC. My favorite grind, good money, great xp.
