OO in PHP

does anyone program thier scripts using Object Orientated techniques?

is it worth putting the time in to learn OO in php or can most jobs be accomplished without it,

i had to learn the basics of Java through my work and it is not easy getting your head round OO whether its Java C++ or PHP....
